Weird place names.

No fellow Queenzoners I'm not being lazy and 'cutting and pasting' some dubious link to a dodgy website that makes it easy.

I was flicking through a road map today and came across an arena of Bolton which goes by the name of Nob End. No I didn't believe it either. But it exists.

It would certainly make taxi journeys more interesting. As opposed to the usual 'been busy' or 'what time do you finish?' you can call the driver a nob end and not get thrown out.

'Where to Sir?'*
'Nob End.'

Anybody else live in a daftly named place?

*Only expect to be called Sir if your a knight of the realm and all that.

There's a town called Sugar Tit in South Carolina.

There's a small town in Pennsylvania, USA near me called Sheetz, and in maryland there is a town called Scagsville.

Kentucky is pretty bad. There is Pig's Knuckle, KY.

Here in Washington: George, Washington (however, it was named after the founder's dog, not the ol' man).

America's is full of them. Isn't there a Hell, Michigan and North Pole, Alaska?
