It's been all over the local Maryland news that a street in Columbia, MD, USA is called Satan lane or court, which when the street builder made it decades ago, was an error, but they never ever fixed it.
The council people petitioned to change it, I forget to what, and they just got it renamed.

There is a place called "Canada" just north of the states, while the name is not freaky, the people sure are.

A picture of one of those signs is actually on the inner sleeve of one of Paul Young's records.
What's also funny is, that the town has to spend more money on replacing the signs than any other town, since the signs are frequently stolen by tourists. :)
