I have to look for the thread, but a couple months back I asked about Freddie throwing berr, and no-one corrected me to say it was water, they all said it was beer.
I have even read where he poured champagne on an audience at Madison Square Garden. Hey, at least it's the good stuff.
Let me search for that thread. It won't come up cuz I just searched...but I remember this.

Here is MY thread that I started a few months back asking why in daylights, WHY Freddie threw beer/water at the audience.
Anyhow...I remember saying in that thread...that in the gazillion concerts I have been to by gazillion artists, I have never seen a band/artist throw or pour beer, water, whatever on the audience.
Everyone on that thread told me it "was cool", that Freddie did that, but personally, I would NOT like that at all.
I don't care if it's Freddie doing the beer/water throwing/pouring or not. I do NOT find that all "Show Biz", and if an artist did that to me, (unless it was the coemdian Gallagher...where that IS part of his act), I would walk out.
No...I just don't appreciate someone pouring beer in my eyes or on me.
I've had that happen in bars...and it ain't "showbiz". It sucks.
I bet I've been to a gazillion concerts and local bar bands too, and no one has ever thrown beer on the crowd.
In fact, the BAND usually HATES when the audience throws beer ON THEM!!!!

Weren't you being sarcastic here..meaning you would not like it either?
I can say almost every local band I've seen in a bar has had beer thrown on them by the crowd...and like I said..even THE BAND'S hate it.

But when everybody said that they thought what Freddie did was "cool", and I said I would not find that cool...I ALSO pointed out..that not only some audience members may NOT like having a band or rock star throw water or beer on them...
..but also..the band's themselves that do NOT throw water or beer on crowds do NOT do so, becuase they do NOT like if or when the crowd throws water or beer on them as well.
I was trying to say that just like there is nothing wrong with the audience NOT liking it thrown on them...
...many bands CAN relate because when put in the reverse situation, the band does NOT like it either.

I doubt any one would be stupid enough to stare at beer being thrown your way, as every one usally put's there head down when water or anything else is thrown out.

Before this gets more out of hand think of this
you are throwing a cup of beer/water over a area of about 15-20 SQ feet, you are pretty much hot( summer tour, outdoors, you been in that area atleast 3-4 hours) You figure out of that 8 oz cup over 20 sq feet, you might get 5 or 6 drops of beer/water.
I doubt any one there really mined, if any one actually did walk out of these shows I have never heard of.

Though not famous "Day-O", he already played with the audience like a catchball while Now I'm Here during the Jazz tour (before Live Killers tour), depending on the mood at that time. I like it, too...I'm sure he loved and enjoyed singing with the audience from '70s. And he was good at stirring up them to sing naturally. It's one of his awesome talents.

I think he tended to throw water rather than beer because some people might object to beer, because it could be sticky when it dried, or make your clothes smell. Whereas there's nothing wrong with getting soaked by water, especially when you are very thirsty!
