Good post Brianmay1975!
The fact that Freddie's mother was moved by the whole thing yet few pp, like BPP feel "offended" makes some of the fans real morons... Obviously they must love Freddie more than his own mother... Pathetic... Did we get the real meaning ofa word STEPFORD finally...? Or is it FANATIC?

Ok... I should post something positive here (Well, I would have done that too without the former posts) ;-)

Of course I gonna buy the new album... I kinda like the new formula and I'm dieing for some new material. It would be great if they record some new stuff... Well, they already recorded some old tracks in the studio (were they did the rehearsals) so It wouldn't be a surprise if they create some new songs.
I got to try al little more, because I'm an asshole but I'm learning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfTLkUcQ7QY

Probably yes... I do after all have all the previous solo albums by Bri & Rog.

I will not however be buying any vinyl formats or singles of any QPR releases, because I won't need them to complete my Queen collection. :P

If this tour would have happened before I started to slightly lose my interest in Queen (new decade, other preferences - like baroque music, Black Sabbath or Soundgarden) I would have enjoyed it more I suppose.
Yet, going to Budapest was like one of the top priorities on my "to do" list, as soon as I realised it was possible for me to attend the show.
But buying a Queen+PR studio album will be more like a collector's impulse, or the thought that they'll come to my country (which they'll never do) and hope to get some autographs.
Otherwise I see no other reason for me to buy it.
You can be anything... anything you think that you could ever be

I would buy it
still got brian and roger taylor on it

plus i bet the ones that said no they would not buy it but when it out on Sale they will look at it and think.....mmmmm.... oh i might well get it it wont hurt lol
THE SHOW MUST GO ON

Hmmm - one vocal legend, the remaining members of one of the greatest bands to grace the earth, all three gifted songwriters, all of which were awesome when I saw them in Sheffield - hell yes I'd buy the album!

As for replacing Freddie, Paul wouldn't/couldn't because none of the members of Queen or Paul say it can be done. Unless everybody forgets who Freddie was, then Queen's singer will always be Freddie Mercury. If a new album did surface, it would alsmot certainly be billed as Queen and Paul Rodgers. Let us not forget, with 125 million sales under his belt, Paul Rodgers is not without a fan base who are loyal to him. His work with Jimmy Page, Kenny Jones and his Muddy Waters tribute mean his involvement may reach fan bases Queen would otherwise have missed. Bad Company were the second biggest act in the States after Led Zeppelin at one point in the States, something Queen never achieved.

Freddie is gone and rehashing old demos that may still be lying around is not the answer. If it's on the cutting room floor there's probably a good reason for that. Many people think "Made In Heaven" was a rip off, so going down that route would not produce a "new" Queen album.

I think they should do it. The skills they've amassed over their amazing careers would guarantee an awesome album, that would inevitably get slagged off by the press (except by me because chances are I'd love it). All the tour proves it Paul is accepted as A voice for Queen, not THE voice, hence Roger and Brian helping out. And that suited me fine because I love Roger's singing. If the three of them wrote a new album and shared vocal duties I think it would be head and shoulders the best thing to come out in ages.

Well, I'm still waiting for the long expected single called Victory by Freddie and Michael Jackson ;-)

I would buy it. Paul has a fantastic voice (although obviously not Freddie like) and Roger and Brian are fabulous musicians.

I enjoyed three concerts of the tour (Frankfurt, Dortmund and Cologne) and every gig was better than the gig (I saw) before. I except the high quality level of the concerts also for possible studio work.

And song-writer like there are also no problems. For instance the studio version of Reaching Out sounds good like No-One But You does.

And it is our (the fans) job to keep Freddie unforgotten.

Yes, immediately. It shouldn't be called Queen though. It should be Queen + Paul Rodgers or a completely new name.
This can't end well.

Ofcourse i would buy it!

Anyone who really is a Queen fan would, new material from two Queen members and a good singer!
O
would buy it without listening first.

I hope they will go in the studio and record new song together.

Small change though..

Roger & Brian would probably sing more on the album like they used to in the 70's. They may also get some other guest vocalists as well.

Also in the recent Planet Rock Radio poll for best British rock vocalist, who was 3rd behind Freddie and Robert Plant? Yup, Paul Rodgers.

Brian (7th) and Roger (8th) didn't get as high as that for their own category.

GH3 was classed as Queen + so that is maybes how they will relase it as. Not that I want to re-open that debate.
Death to Rapidshare. Long Live BitTorrent!!

Absolutely yes.
