Again, I've stuck fairly closely to the original, but it does let loose for the guitar solo!
Please let me know if you like it, and Adam, there's no f**king clicks!! ;)
Edit:- Third and final version.

I think you're right to think more about the intro as I thought it could be cut right up to the point the backing vox begin singing -> don't... stop me.. now___ don't stop me... Then Freddie comes in - nice and simple, equaling a really nice opening. You could always do some dreamy piano (pre type reverb) that gives little bits, then that above idea.
I wonder why you stick so much processing on certain things, i.e. the solo. That was just weird cause there was so much delay on it. Didn't mind it after the main solo, but all the way throughout was a bit much for my liking. Though, I liked the main track with some different subtle processing. Nice enough, eh?
Not a bad ending, too. And damn right there shouldn't be any clicks!!
Peace,
Adam.

Cant add anything more to what Adam said except that the ending was a neat idea. Very good indeed Lord F.

Because I like it!
Anyway, I did something with the intro, which I think it a bit better now. Revised version posted.

much better

Yes, 2nd version is better, the edited intro let sound the song much more connected. It´s a average Fickle Mix. That means, it´s another world-class-piece.......

OK, stand by yer beds!! After a few more tweaks, the third and final version is now uploaded:-
Original post edited - I think this is THE best version.

Nah, the first version was just right. Vocal sat better the first time and you know what I'm thinking about the intro now..!
What I don't understand is why you'd use the same intro on the outro. A little repetitive sounding, especially because the bass is in there at both times. I've processed the end part with Audition's center channel extractor and as you can hear, it removes the bass pretty well. And that was on a compressed MP3!

Nope, I still think the first version was better. All this tweaking is starting to remind me of the Star Wars Special Editions!

For Christ's sake, Adam, I don't have access to the original master tapes, I can only work with what I have. Your piano outro has 'bumps' where the bass would have been. I'm sure if I had posted that, you would have been the first to mention it. I think mine is OK. I know what you think of the intro, but if I did it as you would like, I might as well just rip and post the original version!
We're still waiting to hear one of your remixes, so don't hide your talents any longer! I can't wait to offer my critique! :)

The piano file was a quick example. If I was seriously trying to make it sound decent, I'd have used the original uncompressed wav file, rather than your mixed mp3 and also EQ'd it. Plus some other bits and bobs, but it was only an example.

I think you don't like critique anymore because you're starting to realise that no two people think alike. Sure, there are great things coming out of the Fickle camp and I've said so many-a-time. But you can't expect me and others to swallow every mix without some comment that offers ideas or changes. If you don't like them, fair enough. Leave it at that.
There's no need to say things like, where's your mix then? etc. That's just a silly thing to say. And I've already said that making mixes is not my thing. But I'd gladly provide help to further an idea. I believe I made a crack about this in your Show Must Go On edit thread.
Peace,
Adam.

Sorry to have been a bit off, Adam. It's not that I don't like critique, but when I twice rework a mix, in an effort to take on board what you, and other people, say (about the intro), and then you turn round and say:-
[QUOTENAME]Adam Baboolal wrote: [/QUOTENAME]Nah, the first version was just right.
well, to be honest I thought you were taking the piss. As for using the same part as the intro, for the outro, as I said, I only have the basic tracks to work with. Where am I supposed to get a different piano piece from? I do realise what you were saying about the bass part, and yes, it probably could have been removed, but I like it as it is. As for the processed effects, I think I use them to good effect. They are pleasing to me, and to some others. Obviously they are not to your taste, so we will have to agree to differ on that one.
As for requesting to hear some of your work, I don't consider it a "silly thing to say". I'm genuinely interested in what you can do, and it's much easier taking critique from someone who has proved to be better at the job. You are usually one of the first to offer critique to a mix, so I don't think it's unreasonable to ask to hear what you can achieve. As a ham fisted guitarist who can barely manage two chords, I could hardly say to Brian May, "'Ere, that solo in Bohemian Rhapsody, it's crap, mate!" Not that I'm implying you are ham-fisted, or a guitarist, or Brian May!
Once again, apologies if I over-reacted to your comments. Your constructive views are fully appreciated, but we are obviously not going to agree on certain areas. I do feel, however, that we should all try to be a bit more positive towards other people's efforts, even if they are not to our own taste. There is no contest here now, and none of us are professional sound engineers. This is just for fun.

Since this is one of my favorite Queen songs I really looked forward to hearing this.
I've really liked all the mixes you've posted and I cant say I was disappointed with this one, it sounds great. I love the intro, it gives it a bit of a feel like we're a fly on the wall listening to Freddie come up with the tune. The outro was pretty good though I did miss Freddie's da-da-daaaa bits.
All in all, great job and thanks for posting it!
