I want to see it again (3rd time!) but everyone thinks I'm crazy and won't go with me. I'm so misunderstood!

I understand you, cause I saw the movie, and I absolutely loved it!! I´d go with you to the theater to see it again! :D

Johnny Depp looks really cute as Willy Wonka, too! ;)

I agree! So are you flying to the United States or should I come to Brazil? ;)

And I think Roald Dahl would have liked this version...it stayed relatively true to the book but also took some creative liberties and added in extra information which is a lot better than just retelling the book word for word.
Resistance is futile. You are now an orb.

Very good movie, Johnny Depp did a excellent job as always. I didn't care for how the umpa lumpas were portrayed or thier songs, and the little boy...the one who was obsessed with TV was brought by his mother in the origioal version. I remember her putting him in her purse after he was shrunk. Other than that I enjoyed the movie, and how they went more in depth to Willy Wonkas Childhood. Made for a good ending.

I'll go with you dear! I plan to see it again tomorrow! I really want to see it with my boyfriend though and he's working tomorrow.

I loved it! I think I might go back again (only this time with my familY) and I definately want to buy the soundtrack. I came into the movie assuming that I wasn't going to enjoy it but I was blown away. Definately the best movie I've seen this year.

I think it's one of the best of the year.

I'm withholding my judgement for "Best movie I've seen all year" until I've seen "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" this November, when it comes out in theatres.

Out of all the movies I've seen so far this year (which was only 3), I'd have to say that they were all pretty to really good, or funny even!

I saw "Hitch", "Howl's Moving Castle" (dub version), and now "Charlie And The Chocolate Factory", and they were all great! "Hitch" and "Charlie..." would have to be tied as the funniest I've seen all year!

Go Hitchhikers! I can't say anything though because I haven't seen Charlie yet. I really can't wait to see it!!!! I guess this is just a reallly good year for movies! :o)

Actually, I wasn't referring to "Hitchhiker's..."

I was referring to the Will Smith comedy, "Hitch", about a guy named Hitch (who Will plays)

Yeah I figured thta out later... I felt stupid... Sorry I just don't keep up with movies really well.

Either way is fine, as long as we get to see the movie. ;-) Anyoneone else who loved the movie is welcome to come watch, too. :-P

This movie was definitely funnier than the original, but the original was better. Wilder was a better Wonka, the original Veruca & Mike were much better actors, and the ending was better as well.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but Depp was too crazy and a little irritating. Certainly enjoyable, though.

It was good but i prefer the original. Gene wilder made a better Wonka in my opinion. The original was also funnier. The kids and their parents seemed to have little personality in this one.

The songs were better on the original and were singalongs. Granddad had no personality too...

Overall a touch disappointed. It was enjoyable but should have been better.
