Which is the last CD/Album you have bought and why? And what is you opinion?

I just bought a few days ago the Michael Hutchence album cause I've always liked his voice a lot and thought the album would be just as good as any INXS stuff, is not bad but not what I expected.
Oh yes we'll keep on tryin'

I just bought There Is Nothing Left To Lose - Foo Fighters because before that, I only had one album from them (The Colour And The Shape) and I love Learning To Fly, especially the video. Go to Launch or whatever and watch it...it's got Dave Grohl in drag with pigtails! (If that's not incentive, I don't know what is!)
Resistance is futile. You are now an orb.

I never buy a CD no need to it's all free on the net.

ColdPlay x & Y

Great album

P.S Anybody who pays for a CD is a mug especially when it's free. The only time I go into a record store is to get an idea of what cd album I can download next.
Paul Rodgers - "Gimp Of The Year 2006"
O
Jimmi Hendrix - Smash hits

Why? Because I didnt feel like buying every album to hear just the songs I wanted to hear.It just so happend that this album has every song I like on it.
Ogre Battle Lives FOREVER MORE!

Led Zeppelin - Houses Of The Holy
Why?: Because I've bought everything by Queen, and why not buy everything by Zeppelin also?
And also, I love the song "Over The Hills And Far Away".
heyheyheyhey, it was the DNA...

Alternative, by Pet Shop Boys
(I'm actually still waiting for it to arrive by mail)

It's the only cd of theirs I still didn't have... I had forgotten all about it, even though I've had the other albums for years now.

System of a down - System of a down
System of a down - Toxicity
System of a down - Steal this album

Bought the three together for 25 euro's. After listening to Mesmerize I'm hooked. None of those albums is as good as their latest, but still quite a few very good tracks.
F
Man, listen to TOXICITY few times and you'll be hooked for good :) Love those guys- there's a track on the debut called SPIDERS. Now THAT is a song...!!!
Last album I bought was rage Against The Machine's first one. I had it before but gave it to somebody and forgot who was it... And after few years I thought- I kinda want it... So there it is...

I already knew the "hits" from the previous albums. Spiders is one of them. I must say I really like Toxicity. The other two are okay, but have quite a few "fillers".

I also downloaded a couple of their live shows, but must say I wasn't too impressed. Saw them a month ago on the Graspop Metal Meeting (they were headlining the first day) and really liked it. Maybe that has something to do with the amount beer I consumed during the day (had to wait in line for 2,5 hours at 35 degrees C.) Anyway, kick ass band!

jake thackray live at the lobster pot.
because jake writes the funniest lyrics of all time in my opinion. deliberately so i should add.

for example
'ilove a good bum on a woman it makes my day,
to me it is palpable proof of god's existence, a posterior,
also i like breasts and arms and ankles, elbows, knees. it's the tongue the tongue the tongue on a woman that spoils the job for me.'
we've no ancestral halls, no haughty portraits on our walls, no family monuments at all, unless it's my cousin sheila's stupendous clevage.

The beer definitely helps! :) I saw them at Reading festival 2 years ago, seond on the bill, just before Metallica. They were OK but I wasn't drinking as I was trying to avoid the toilet queues at all cost! :) Serj (vocalist) doesn't hit all the high notes very well and sometimes it was just messy... But I know they got much better nowadays. I agree- kick ass band :)
