My nephews and niece would rather have pickled themselves than pick up a book to read for pleasure. When the Half-Blood Prince came out their parents had to buy three copies to keep them happy. If it gets them reading I'm all for it. They are now discovering Roald Dahl, Terry Pratchet and even Charles Dickens.
JK Rowling has done a lot in getting youngsters to read again and get them off the games consoles and to the library.

I agree, Banquo. It's a childrens book and as such it's surely good. When adults read childrens books and don't like them, it's not the fault of the book:)
