Just to clarify:
I offered arlene the "Queenzone journalist" role because she takes the time to submit news stories. It is a recognition of her efforts.
If other people want to take time out to regularly submit news stories, then they can get the same reward.

I am afraid you are ill informed, Niek. Jen does not pre-select the fan emails for Brian, he gets to see them all. I think she does an awesome job maintaining the website and answering all the emails (her emails, not Brian's)and providing for the news. Please don't forget that she had her website for ages before Brian started to write his soap box stuff there and finally made it his official website.
It's not so easy to run an official website for a star like Brian and Jen has to put up with loads of rubbish each day which she does with grace and style. She is a great lady with a great heart and she never tries to put herself into the spotlight like so many other people who are close to celebrities.
Acording to Brian, Jen do select the fan mails for him, because he don`t have time to read them all. She already knows the type of things that Brian likes to read, and she knows what not to send.
If you ask things about Freddie`s, or questions like:
How was the mood when you`re recording the made in heaven album?
Was it painfull to see Freddie with aids?
...and all the intelligent questions that fans like to ask, probably she don`t even pass them to Brian.

Really, the woman creeps me out. She claims to be a journalist of Queen, yet the only articles she gets are articles already released by real journalists. :-D
There`s no need to be offensive to Arlene.
The thing is, she is the person that post more news in the news section, and if the articles are made by other journalists, at least she spends some time researching for them and posts the link so you can read them just by click in the link, instead of loosing your time searching for them!!

Maybe you are right. Perhaps I misunderstood Jen when she said that Brian sees all his emails. I would not be surprised if she removes obvious rubbish from the mail box.

I couldn't care less if the reviews are edited on Brian's site, and for several reasons. One, entertainment reviewers know shit and their opinions are slightly less than worthless. Two, its Brian's website, and if he wants to edit that shit, more power to him. Three, expanding upon two, why should anybody be expected to put negative criticism of work they're even tangentially connected to on their own website? Its completely counterintuitive and not 1 person in 100 is going to use their own forum to let people badmouth them. Four, Brian's website is, at least in part, a promotional tool for him and various Queen-related projects, and its stupid to expect him to give a venue for displaying his own bad press. Five, neither Brian nor Jen is a journalist by profession, and so there is a world of difference when a journalist (who is supposed to adhere to the high standards for truth and accuracy of their so-called profession) misquotes the focus of a story and when an individual person does something similar. A journalist is supposed make his living disseminating the facts and thus has a higher standard of responsibility than someone running a promotional or personal website. Its no different than ads for movies that cherry pick the most positive parts of reviews. Six, any moron who can use Google can exercise a tiny bit of effort to track down the source of any review and read it for themselves. And seven, who gives a shit? I mean really. Who cares if a few negative comments were edited out of a review of a tribute album written by some no-name hack whose career is based on leeching off of other people's work? Its not a big deal by any stretch of the imagination. This is not something worthy of elliciting outrage.
But if anyone would like to criticize my above post, I'll be happy to post it on my personal web page. I'm a very big man :-)

You probably buy All your music!! If so, it only means you have more money than i do. God bless you!
I just don`t download the Queen stuff because by the time i got a computer i already own all the collection, and as a Queen collector i just buy everything. This means that i don`t spend money on other bands, and yes i do download them.
For those prices the managers of companies can stick their CD`s on their but, i couldn`t care less!!
If you buy your Queen stuff that`s good for you, but that doesn`t mean your a bigger fan than Arlene or other fans that download their stuff.
And the fact that she doesn`t own 3/4 of their CD`s doesn`t mean that she can`t express her opinion about their music, or any queen topic that might emerge!
This is a Queen site for all the fans, and it`s normal that there are ones with more knowledge of the band than others, and that`s what makes it interesting. I´ve learn many things about Queen since the day i started reading this site and i thoght i was an expert!!
