Oh come on, anybody who was willing to try and fill in for the great Freddie has to be admired, and Paul is doing a great job.
What I would like to know is, any of the people who are criticizing Paul Rodgers, have you actually been to one of the new concerts? Or are you simply critisizing someone you have never even seen live just because you automatically decided you didn't like him?
Don't understand me wrong.I wasn't saying that Rodger isn't good... I actualy like his music and style very much, I would be rather pro than contra...
What I wanted to say is that you can put him in his place but he is never going to be Freddie! Does not mean that he is no good, cause in my opinion he is brilliant, just in a diffrent way.
Ex.: I don't know what your job is or activities, well somebody might take over your place, but he is never going to be you... He won't do the job or activities like you do (in the same way you do). Reason because he is a diffrent person. Does not mean he isn't as caresmatic as you or you as him... He has just another way to express his feelings or action because they are already diffrent in his view...
To me it is very special that Paul Rodgers joint up with Queen, as my mum is a very big FREE fan and me being a big Queen fan. He is amazing...
My opinion about weither they should call them Queen: As long as the remaining members feel themself as Queen it's OK to me. It's actualy up to them to choose the right way and what ever they choose it is the right way because it is them performing (and not us). Other like someone said before it is Queen + Paul Rodgers, meaning he has his own role and Queen have them role and together they make a team (and to me they make a great team).... There is in anycase been mantioned that he is the replacement of Freddie within the Queen camp.
I went to the Queen concert in Koln and I had a lovely time. It was a brilliant concert to me. And even before and after the show. They've still got that magic, it's just a diffrent kind of magic and as good as with Freddie.
