This may be a performance for TV - perhaps Top Of The Pops.

SNL 1982?
SNL 1982?
Nope, No SNL 82
Could someone tell us where it's from
Thank-you! Never seen this before... :o)
In response to the thousands of inquiries I've received regarding the title of this download, no, this is not video of me, performing as one might infer from the title. It's the brilliant guys in Queen performing "Crazy Little Thing Called Love." ;-)

Thanks for clearing that up!!! Lol
And thanks for sharing as well!
Me neither, but it's not a TV performance. I know this because -
a) No TV company would allow Queen to install their own lighting rig in a TV studio (even assuming it would fit) for the sake of one three minute performance.
b) I'm just clever.
This is obviously a portion of a 1979 concert that was filmed. We know it's not Hammersmith because we've seen that, so it must be another. The stage looks regular sized, so it can't be from the Crazy Tour of London, which means it's from between 22-11-79 & 11-12-79. And according to the first edition of Greg's book, it wasn't played at the two Manchester dates (mind you he also says that Brian plays a Stratocaster...). The surprising part to me is that it sounds like a soundboard recording - no audience noise at all.
Where did you get it?

It looks to me as a soundcheck before a show that was filmed by a professional film crew.
It's from Bristol 1979. That's all I can tell.
Is this the Bristol 79 soundcheck Thijs posted a while back.. filmed for TV I think..?
correct : Video recording 3 minutes (Crazy Little Thing Called Love). Filmed by BBC.
