Didn't Jim Hutton get HIV before Freddie died? Didn't he get it from Freddie? Then he must have been HIVpositive for quite some time...! I do not understand how he can still be living in a good state! It seems like he is doing really good. I do not understand how that is possible. I thought that you could live max. 20 years with HIV/AIDS... I actually thought he would have been in a really bad state by now.

HIV affects people in different ways. There are people in this world who happen to be immune to the HIV virus, and there are people who have been infected with HIV for years and haven't developed full blown AIDS.
I remember reading an article a few months ago about a man who was diagnosed with HIV back in the mid 80's and had not developed full blown AIDS without medical help. People are different, some die within a few months of being diagnosed with full blown AIDS, others can live years with the disease with no symptoms at all.
