That is a sad story. Why couldn't they leave it all it, the uncut nature of the show would be far greater for the fans.

Honestly, who cares.

I'm not really worried about that. If they made the decision to do that, so be it. Almost all official live albums feature studio work anyway.

We really can't be that shocked, can we?? Queen have known to be perfectionists. Plus, I'm sure Queen were advised by Hollywood Records to make some of the comments PC. It doesn't matter though, I'll still enjoy the DVD and CD!!

It's hardly a surprise after hearing that they decided to cut out an entire song.

I guess it's good planning in a business sense.
They don't have to come up with anything new for Christmas 2010, when they can sell the 5th anniversary version of the Sheffield concert, complete with previously unreleased material... :I

Very interesting, wegotit. Thanks for taking the time to compare them and for posting :)

Thomas, thanks for the study :-)

I'm a bit disappointed by all the edits but it's not THAT bad. I'm MUCH MORE disappointed that the Eminem intro is missing :-( It WAS part of the concert - so why cut it? I'm sure copyright wasn't a problem.

Based on many of the comments in this topic, I expected a Do Ro cut & paste horror story like Cyberbarn.

I think that a DVD cannot really do justice to the personal experience of having been there. This is what everybody said about the Wembley concert - it's just not the same if you watch yourself or if a camera does the job for you.

I watched the EPK on the official website and I think that the beginning of TYMD - the moment, when the concert actually took off - is completely ruined by showing the audience and not the stage. It's obvious that someone decided on this camera angle who was not audience because all fans agreed that this was the most spectacular moment of the whole concert.

As to Eminem, I always thought he is someone who should not be connected to a Queen concert, he is a racist, sexist, homophobe and generally a very hateful character. But for the fans who were there, a very distinctive moment of the concert will be missing because the Eminem track was building up the tension in a very effective way.

We should not expect that the DVD reflects our own experience, the post production makes it mass compatible. There will be a great picture quality and decent sound. We still have the bootlegs to remind us of the atmosphere, when the filmer was jumping with the other fans to TYMD :)
I do not want any google ads here.

Don't see much to get hot under the collar about there myself. A few seconds here, a few seconds there. Big deal !

Not exactly wholesale overdubs is it.

Decent sound? I can't give an accurate report because I have only seen the "We Are The Champions" performance on the internect BUT I thought that it sounded so amazingly good that I had never even heard instruments sound the way they do because it sounded so good it was phenomenal! Do you think otherwise? Roger's drums blew me away!
