I was actually quite pleased when they cut out the studio songs for the reissue.
Because they originally made two version of the album. One that had "three sides live", and was meant for the global market, and one with four sides live which was for the uk market alone... I was glad to have both versions on cd.
Anyway... I'm looking forward to seeing PC in concert twice in in about two and a half weeks time.
Now I just have to wait for PG and a reunion of Genesis to come to Finland... :P

I went to Paris and soon go to Prague to see Phil!
The early Genesis albums are great (with Peter Gabriel), I hope Phil will play at least one Genesis song next month!!
My opinion is that you must like Genesis when you love Queen, and Pink Floyd and bands like these ones... Well it's my case ;)

Don't like the 80s albums, save few songs like "Home By The Sea", "Mama", few others... I found "We Can't dance" a good record, like Jingles I love "No Son Of Mine", but there are two nice epics on it- "Driving While you Sleep" and a really great "Driving The Last Spike"...
But 70s... man, can anything they ever recorded in 80s top "Watcher Of The Skies" or "Carpet Crawlers"? Not really...
I guess I was one of those few weird ones who really liked an album "Calling All Stations"...
Phil as a drummer is top class. Great, simple as that. Him singing Queen songs? Thank God not!

I agree, he's a very good drummer but not one of the best drummers ever. I see Phil Collins far more as a songwriter than a drummer.

My favourite Genesis albums are Wind And Wuthering and A Trick Of The Tail. Close seconds are Selling England By The Pound and Lamb. I also really liked Duke... it was good intelligent pop, before they went really pop.

Everyone in the mainstream is over-rated. For every over-rated musician, or erm, "musician", there are a hundred musicians not in the mainstream who are better in one way or another, and in most cases, FAR better.
Just to name a few: Terry Bozzio, Bill Bruford, Mike Portnoy, and Chad Wackerman are nowhere near the mainstream, and they are all better drummers than every classic rock drummer. Phil Collins and is indeed a great drummer, but he's still at least a step or two below the guys mentioned above. And please, as this is a Queen forum, nobody mention Roger Taylor in the same sentence as these guys.
