Smertin is on a season long loan to Charlton with a view to a permanent move (depending on how well Charlton do at the end of the season and how desirable they seem to him then).

At the end of the day, I think it'd be a wise move to leave Chelsea. As "good" as they are, they're so bloody boring and it'll do Smertin better to be playing football than just sitting around.

A few years back before Chelsea were doing any good I was quite fond of them...well a good few players anyway.
