[QUOTE][QUOTENAME]Arlene R. Weiss wrote: [/QUOTENAME]Alot of real redneck cornpone country and southern rock actually is just like rap in a way too and I hate it.

Always some jilted man or woman bitching about the woman or dude that cheated on them, drank too much, gambled too much, beat them and left, and they have nothing left but their hound dog and pick up truck (even the bands/singers are millionaires, just like in rap).

Tons of country singers have been in and out of prison for violence, gun posession, shooting, getting shot, drugs, beating their women...Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Johnny Paycheck, Steve Earle, etc.

They also are very mysoginist, singing about beating up on women and even murdering them.[/QUOTE]

Actully, BOTH Johnhy Cash and Steve Earle RECORDED 2 of their most famous records, IN PRISON!

Take that 50 Cent!

Johnny Cash got more mileage out of being in prison than anyone I know. I think his time was just six months. Hmm, like our dear Martha.
Yes, it was a worthwhile experience.
In the 80's we had in Beligum some music called New Beat... Now that's what I call rubbish... the worst invention ever... and what about the pizza song of last year or barbie barbie girl from aqua...
[QUOTE][QUOTENAME]Yuri wrote: [/QUOTENAME]reggaeton. There is a girl two doors down from me who always plays reggaeton on her worlds loudest sound system. I can hear it from the student center and god its ugly. Same stupid music with some guy with and ugly voice yelling over it. I thought id get away from it moving over to MA but no.
I also hate emo and folk music. bleah.[/QUOTE]

AMEN!!

Reggeaton is the worst piece of shit on earth. Fuck Shakira for selling out and following the trend and making a song of such a horrible genre.

8. Rap

A type of "music" that promotes rape, drugs, violence, unintelligence, depression, and misogyny. It's not worth listening to.

[QUOTE][QUOTENAME]Mr.Jingles wrote: [/QUOTENAME]I know that many people might think that there's not really such thing as a bad music genre but rather a bad artist performer.

However, I have to say that this new latin thing called "reggeaton" is the biggest pile of shit on the face of the earth. It even makes hip-hop sound good.

Other really crappy music genres are bubblegum pop, bluegrass, folk, and country has also a tendency to sound crappy as well.[/QUOTE]
fo yo info reggeton w/ Daddy Yankee and Don Omar really hit the top rating in Puerto Rico (where Me and my relatives were born) n e ways its country

o right shakira also hit the top 5 best music In Puerto Rico
[QUOTE][QUOTENAME]pma wrote: [/QUOTENAME]Anyone who labels such genres as bluegrass, folk and country as "crappy" is in my eyes not only an ignoramus but also greatly lacks taste, intelligence and integrity and probably eats babies for breakfast.

Country for me mostly doesn't even exist in the mainstream. Most U.S acts I see labelled as country are mere cowboy-hat wearing pop singers. I was apalled at the lack of actual country music when I for the first and last time saw a U.S Cmt-driven country music award show :-/

I shall continue to punish all fools at work with the genius that was Gram Parsons.

So does that make it less of a crappy genre? No, it's still garbage.

It doesn't matter if it's Daddy Yankee, Shakira, or anyone else. It will always sound like shit.

Emo, makes me want to hurt stuffed animals.
Comprende muchacho.
It's kind of confusing as to what exactly "emo" is nowadays, since according to some people's definitions, presently everything under "rock" can be considered "emo."

To others, though, emo hasn't been around for about a decade.

Nothing makes my ears bleed more than creepy new age stuff like Enya... and Yanni. I can tolerate Yanni only when it is during the dolphin show at the Shedd Aquarium.

I will never EVER like a song by Enya. For some weird reason, my biology teacher was playing Enya in class the other day. I almost went into a violent rage. Supposedly that stuff is supposed to be calming, but I just felt my blood pressure go up.

Obviously, I don't care for rap or country/bluegrass either. Although I have to admit, I love "Baby Got Back" and I have 3 Eminem songs on my iPod. Also, I like the soundtrack for "O Brother Where Art Thou."
