Well, he is a defender but unfortunately, Sven doesnt tend to play on who is playing well, instead picks his favourites (I still think King never deserved to be dropped after playig along side Terry in the France match in Euro 2004...).
But King is a superb player, and I can honestly say I dont think he has ever put in a bad game for Tottenham or England, be it in defence or in his adopted defensive midfielder role. But he's good at picking off balls and he's cool on the ball and can play short or long passes with either foot. It's a shame we have a wealth of defensive talent, cause he is a class defender.
I'd like to see how Rasiak does though, it'd be nice to see him from a different point of view.

Poland - England is one of the most interesting games tonight, although there's nothing to play for. But what do we think of these games?
Finland - Czech. Republic -> Czech has to win, otherwise Romania is going to enter the play-offs
Slovakia - Russia -> Winner enters the play-offs
Ireland - Switzerland -> If Switzerland wins this match, France will be forced to play a play-off.
Serbia - Bosnia -> Serbia will become group winner if they win. Spain will enter the play-off in that case.

We'll win and win well. Although I said this after the Denmark, Wales, N Ireland, and now Austria performances!!
I'd like the Swiss to win tonight so France have to do play off's just for comedy value.
Czech's should be alright too.

Obviously, being in Germany, it's gonna be Germany.
Un-fucking-believable - 15mins before kick off and my bastard tv stops working!
27 mins after kick off and my bastard tv still working and I must to watch this sh*t calls Slovakia - Russia match!
Ledley. King. Is. Class.
P.S. Peter Crouch doesnt deserve to ever play football again in the history of time, the big freak.

England won. Rightly so- better on the night. Don't need tissues as nothing really amttered :) Good points though- King was SUPERB! same I can say about lampard, Joe Cole and Rooney. Crouch is a muppet- what the hell is Sven thinking? And the biggest one- no Beckham and suddenly England plays energetic, offensive and MODERN football. Get rid of him- Wright Philips yesterday was AWESOME, he was extremely dangerous every time he touched the ball. I saud that after Austria game- this was DRAWBACK for Poland...
On Polish side I thought Kosowski played pretty well, Boruc (goalkeeper) had a great night, he's better than Dudek (Arsenal shown interest) and the goalscorer Frankowski who just before we lost a second goal had another chance...
It still wasn't the best team in the world, that's for sure. But it's def better than against N Irelanmd or even Austria, that's for sure :) Get rid of Beckham, you really don't need this tosser. One game without him and England looked like a real team...
To Serry- what happened??? Slovakia?????????????!

Of course he's better than Dudek, Dudek is one of the many severly over rated players playing today (and these players tend to come from the Premiership). People go on about his performance in the Champions league final, wow, he can cheat by moving up and down the line before a penalty is taken, totally putting off the Milan players, who already have played 120 minutes in the hot Turkish weather, as well as being emotionally drained after losing a three nil lead. Give me a break.
Boruc is having a pretty good season so far, he's one of the few playing well for Celtic at the moment.

Yeah... Why not? We're losers. We can play hockey or chess only! So we - countries from former USSR - have sent Ukraine instead of us on World Cup, wish 'em and Sheva luck!

I dont really like Liverpool, they bore me, and Im not a fan of Dudek (not to say I hate him)... but how the hell can you say he "cheated" by moving up and down the goal line? As long as he stays off on the goal line, as far as the rules are concerned and I am aware, he is aloud to do what he wants, and that includes dancing and wobbling. Same as if the striker does a suttered run up to try and put off the keeper. There is no difference. And what - cause Liverpool hadn't played 120 minutes in the Turkish heat also? Liverpool wanted to win just as much as Milan, and the difference is Liverpool did.
You'd never guess you were a fan of Italian football...

Didn't I saya bout Greece? Not only they're not going to win too much in the foreseeble future- they're not going to qualify! I don't think Euro 2008 qualifiers are going to be much different for them...
Czechs managed to win with finland, Spain in play offs (hopefully they're not going to meet as I would like to see both teams in World Cup)... Denmark, Russia, Romania, Ireland (c'mon! Switzerland???) all out... Only major upsets (favourites out) in Africa- Nigeria, South Africa and Cameroon out- instead we'll see Ghana, Angola and Togo... And Ivory Coast. Man- I have a feeling one of them (Ivory Coast?) will show some good stuff next year...

Im proud of my little Ledley. And Wright-Phillips, he was class. And for the first time last night I was proud of Rooney. He was a footballer, none of that swearing all the time, he just got on with it. Hats off to him. Having King behind him defenitely helped Lampard, and having King in front of them definitely helped the defence. The only shame about last night was, discounting the introductions of Crouch and Alan Smith, that Sven wont be thinking "maybe I should try those players again?", he'll be thinking "hmm, I wonder how I can fit Gerrard and Beckham into that formation? I know, I'll drop arguably the two better players, King and Wright-Phillips, and put Beckham and Gerrard in their place out of position".
He may have won, but he still doesnt have a clue.
And Joe Cole? Stop doing step-overs and learn to pass the ball. One minute he skins three people, the next minute he looks up and donks a cross to the feet of a defender. Idiot. Now HE'S an over-rated player.

I don't know if I've read you correctly mate, but are you saying that the Greek's qualifying campaign for Euro 2008 is going to go the same way as this one for the World Cup?
Erm... Greece have already automatically qualified for it as winners "unfortunately".

No- winners of Euro still have to play in qualkifiers. Only hosts qualify automatically. Same as now with World Cup (Brazil after winning 2002 still had to play qualifiers)... Or am I mistaken? As far as I remeber only a host qualifies automatically...
