I think you'd find that Liverpool were in a better position than Milan when it came to the penalty shootout, i mean they did just come back from three goals down, and as a result, they were full of confidence. Milan, however, were obviously shell shocked and distraught as a result of losing a three goal lead. A miracle was happening to Liverpool at the time so i don't think they would let certain things get in their way such as the heat, pressure, tiredness etc, because of what had happened.
I think you could tell if you looked at the Milan players faces at the time, it showed that they knew they had no chance of winning it as the confidence in themselves was so low.
And fair enough if Dudek was moving up and down the line for the penalties, but he was wobbling, shaking etc, which is a joke, (how the hell are the players suppost to concentrate?) and you don't see players doing crazy dances before they take a penalty, do you?

I just WISH Sven would get the bollocks to try last nights formation again, maybe with Ashley Cole and POSSIBLY Gary Neville (just becuase, attacking wise, he is better than Luke Young overall), and maybe with someone else instead of Joe Cole.

The thing with England is that we still need a left-sided player. I'm left-footed and I got so frustrated with Joe Cole not crossing the ball with his left peg and cutting inside. Its not his fault of course but against top teams like Brazil, France and Germany they are going to exploit the fact that we don't have a out and out left winger. Sir Tom Finney (bless him) was a natural left-footer but when he was a kid just wore his right boot when practasing so gained the (in these days) unusual skill of being two footed. Something that isn't done these days.
Ashley Cole deserves a lot of credit in his 'wing-back' role. I'd bring in Downing or Richardson on the left wing just to add some balance.

Stuart Downing and Keiron Richardson are not international class, I'm sorry. If Richardson wasnt at Man Utd, no-one would give a shit, and the only reason Downing got a chance was becuase he is left footed and English. If Downing deserves a chance, why not Matthew Etherington. He is one of the most improved players I've seen. He was OK at Spurs, but was outshone by Davies. Since he's been at West Ham, he's worked on his defending, his crossing and dead-ball work have improved greatly and he pops in with a few goals too. Downing bores me, yet Etherington is always looking to take people on, he works very hard too.

The only way Greece will win the World CUp is by someone playing FIFA 2007 on the Playstation PS2. Can anyone explain how Greece can go from the glory of winning the European Championship, to not qualifying for the World Cup? I am sure the Greek population are not very happy at this. Personally, I am relieved that they did not qualify as I had a bet on them failing and have managed to win money on their misfortune. I believe last years Championship win will be their only major tournament success.
As for next year, Argentina are the team I believe will win the World Cup. They have a strong squad of players with some up and coming youngsters who are capable of helping Argentina go all the way, although it's difficult to guess what will happen as there are so many strong nations now. It is my opinion that FIFA may well rig the tournament and already have a team picked to lift the trophy.

here in australia there is a rivally between italians and greeks in soccer. i am italian and was thrilled when they didnt qualify. if they are supposedly the best in europe how the hell could they not make it through their group stage. the only team that should have worried them was denmark yet they failed to qualify. of course ukraine has th best striker in da world but if you can win a prestrigue tourmement like a Euro Cup than you should easlil qualify for the world cup no excuses. oh well better luck in another 4 yrs greece yiasou
