your best bet is to try being around the venue for sound check...4-5 pm. you might get lucky. As far as hotel stalking well they could be any where in NYC.
The other good chance is waiting by backstage doors at the venue..1 to 2 hours after the show. Be patient. In NJ they will have a lot of celebs visiting after the show...but you might get lucky. However- brian lately has been pretty good at avoiding the masses after shows...hint- he is usuallly the last to leave.

you know i just always thought Queen was different from those otherbands that have to run away from their fans, because they are afraid to sign autogrpahs...i thought BRian always welcomed that kind of thing well i dont really know ill try anyway
When you have been in the spotlight for as long as Brian has, signing things gets very tedious after so many years of scribbling! He usually does not like to sign things before a show ( wears too heavily on his delicate playing hand) and quite often the act of signing leaves him cold. In his mind, it puts a distance between him and the individual he is meeting....instead of actually "meeting" someone, it has become nothing more but a "gimmie" fest. I'm not saying ALL signing experiences are like this....just the majority when it comes to meeting him in public.
In the past, Brian has been keen to sign stuff once he has met someone and established some sort of relationship with a fan who in this case let's say he has met after a show. The fan is very respectful of Brian's space per say, and Brian "rewards" this in many different ways. Trust me on this....it's the honest truth folks. The last thing he wants to experience with someone he is just meeting is the common "let's-shove-this-in-BM's-face-to-sign" act i have seen so many times. It really is rude...i wish some folks could see how it looks from the outside. If Brian is keen on you, and your behaviour is in check, he may well offer to sign something for you before you part company.

i remember at club ivar a person stepped in front of me while i was taking to the curly one-- had three guitar face plates, several albums, several 45 sleeves and a couple mags.... that was just for B.... list was even more with R
the person had so much stuff he could barely keep it in his arms...

I am reminded of something unsightly i experienced while attending the WWRY Las Vegas Premiere Aftershow Party. Brian was strolling about in the crowd several times during the course of the evening and was greeted by a whole spectrum of different responding fans. One of them in particular stands out in my mind to this day. There was this woman maybe in her late 20's/early 30's who followed him to a point when she had the chance to place herself in his path and then started gushing in typical amored style all the while rubbing her hands on his chest! Now THAT was uncalled for in my book...and i still get a sick feeling in my stomach when i think back to that....i felt so awful for Brian. He was no doubt slightly embarrassed by it all. The PA's and security folks who were with him had to literally prye this woman off him! Sick sick sick....
That's a extreme example....but it really helps put things into perspective when it comes to realizing what celebrities have to put up with on a daily basis. It must be a serious drag at times....i can totally understand. Brian has commented numerous times in the past about how he often does'nt enjoy experiences "..when my fame gets in the way." How true when you consider some of the extreme cases!

They are "Brian" and "Roger" for that time being..and they are more apt to do the celeb things like pose for photos and sign bits of paper. When they are NOT doing the above, and are maybe out at a resturant for Dinner, or perhaps at the park with the family, then they are not to be bothered as they are now "regular Joe's" like us and wish not to be harrassed during there private time. So i guess you can say that your TIMING must be in tune as well if you wish to experience a memorable meet n' greet. It should be a good experience for BOTH of you basicially....keep this is mind and in general it will be a win/win situation almost everytime.
I find the best advice is to "ask for nothing" and see the return. As i stated earlier, rewards come to those who ask for none. :)

ive always preffered if i met someone famous that i just talked to them because that makes them like everyone else and ur jus5t talking like people do with their best friends everyday- if ur signing object and dont even talk to him ur like OH LOOK AT MY AUTO GRAPH! and the people are like WOW! and quickly move to what did he say to you?! and then the guy's gunna be like well. he gave me a blank, ghost look! and thats no good if u talk to them thats good memories, atleast thats what i think
