Hey you dutch guys... what's the news about your convention.. what did Greag said? They are writing and recording new stuff for a new album. it will be just with PR or it will have other singers? and Reworked demos of Freddie?

He just said that QPR were planning a studio album and the plans have not been abandoned yet.
And he predicted that they will NOT do another tour.
Anything interesting about old recordings? Did he play anything?

Any of them PARTICULARLY interesting?
Hmmm... not realy.
None of the songs are significantly different to the well known versions. But it is nice to hear some studio chat and hear the boys fuck up from time to time and have another go :-)

Great King Rat has quite some unheard guitar parts
Put out the fire has some extra percussion and maracca's
Nevermore is instrumental piano and bass only
Hearing the boys do the backing track to MOTBQ (bass, drums and piano - live, like Bo Rhap) is not different but I surely found it fascinating!

No, not anymore:) When the most interesting part of an outtake is supposed to be Freddie saying "fuck it", even my Stepfordism is exhausted. I have a feeling that we already have all the interesting material and the longer it takes to release an anthology, the less people are interested. I think the last chance was wasted with the ANATO 30 yr edition which does not give us anything new. Even the most faithful fans come to a point when they have had it.
Well, there might be more unheard songs. It's just that Brooks/QP decided not to play them anymore in public because of all the bootleggers.

As far as I remember the 2009 date was just a joke from Jim Beach when Mr. Scully asked him when the box sets will be out. He posted about that here on the board. I have no idea why GB repeated this on QOL. It was clearly a joke.

There will be at least another 6 re-releases of the Queen back catalogue before we see a box set!! :-)
Also when they do release a box set I hope a little more effort is put into it than this box set:
