That, and I'm waiting for Blu-Ray and/or HD-DVD to come out next spring so I can get a TRUE idea of which "HDTV" set I want to buy, when it comes to LCD/DLP flatscreen TV's (I absolutely hate watching DVD's and "digital" TV on those sets - they ALWAYS look horrible whenever I look at HDTV's at Best Buy or FutureShop)
(What I mean by that is when they actually DO get the BD / HD-DVD discs in stores to demonstrate them on the intended HDTV / widescreen sets, THEN I could see which sets are best suited to my needs based on quality)

According to Justin Shirley-Smith, there were no studio "corrections". The very few bits that were changed from the Sheffield gig were replaced with live material from other shows on the tour. Nothing was overdubbed in the studio.[/QUOTE]

That's an excellent and valid point, Ray. It's also an excellent and valid point that the others are making re: QP's main goals these days, which is to churn out product with little attention to what the customer wants, and to separate Queen fans from their money as many times as possible with a "new" mix or "long lost footage" or "backstage extras." Can't they just release a definitive collection and let it be? I'm beginning to beleive (I don't but I wonder at times) that things like the new mix of God Save the Queen wasn't lost at all, but held back so that the hardcore completist fans would have to buy the new ANATO version.
Why is a valid criticism "bitching" and "whining"? I don't say that people should not buy the DVD. There is worse you could get for your money. And then there are those who can never find any fault in anything with the Queen stamp on it. Am I telling them they are stupid and don't know what they do or talk about? I happen to think that this DVD is not worth my money, end of story.
Well for my money the DVD is the best version of a Queen concert on the market. I was sceptical after hearing the CD, but the DVD is everything I hoped it would be having attended the shows.
Sure more extras would have been nice but that is not why I buy a DVD, I wanted a record of a great night out.
Had it been with Fred it would have been prefect, however I ain't complaining, PR did a great job and at least he got Queen out on the road again where they belong.
