As for Lester, the next time you attempt humor, you should try to make it at least a wee bit apparent that your'e joking, seeing as a lot of 'tards here on this board make posts almost precisely like the one you made in 100% seriousness.

I must say that I'm a bit offended at your liberal use of "retard" and other shortenings of such a word. My cousin is mentally handicapped - a retard, as you would put it - and yet you're using the word as if it was a bad or derogatory thing. Considering you're lambasting Dear Friends, who was very obviously joking about the racism thing (even I knew from the instance that he wasn't being serious), over his, ahem, poor choice of words, I find you to be very hypocritical.
I am an intelligent poster, and I'm surprised that you may not have come across some of my posts on this board that would confirm that (see anything by John S Stuart or even my own "Lester's Album Review" threads). Perhaps you know me as the sarcastic idiot who "attempts" humor in other threads, and I'm sure that at least a few people get a kick out of them, but I guess you really can't please everyone. Humor is subjective, and some people found Dear Friends's thread humorous, myself included, if only for the fact that I knew it would get people worked up into a fit, and he succeeded. Hell, he even got another thread out of it from an outraged halfwit. But I thought it was very obvious that I was joking from the start. Maybe next time I'll need to preface my post with a giant "HEY GUYS I'M JOKING IN THIS POST PLEASE DON'T TAKE ME SERIOUSLY REALLY OKAY?!". I will admit that my humor is... off-beat at times, and I don't expect everyone to love what I write, nor that everything that I write should be gold, but the main thing is that I rarely take myself seriously (only when I talk about something that I'm passionate about - such as the rarities of Queen and their sessions, etc.), especially considering this is the Internet.

Now, I'm not one to shy away from cursing - far from it, actually - but if you're trying to present a well-articulated argument about the posters on this board, the fact that you pepper your entire criticism with the liberal use of "fuck" and "retard" makes me laugh at you and consider you ignorant, because you really have no grasp on what you want to say except for appearing brash, loud, and stupid. I certainly don't understand where the animosity came from you, as I thought it was apparent from the get-go that I was always joking. In fact, I find it interesting that you didn't even address any of the other topics I brought up - my handicapped cousin, humor on the Internet, and so forth.
I don't know why you decided to single me out, even moreso than Dear Friends; it just doesn't make any sense to me. And please don't take this as a hurt routine or anything; I'm just genuinely curious. I have no ill feelings toward you, and the only reason I posted the "essay" was because I thought people would be able to see through all the bull that I was writing and realize that I wasn't serious and trying to just lighten up the mood a bit.
