Morality class? What the #@$! is that?
(sorry to sound ignorant)

They still teach Math and Spelling and stuff, right?
[QUOTE][QUOTENAME]DreaminQueen wrote: [/QUOTENAME]... but her and i proudly strutted our stuff to this great tune by the greatest band ever, and i to the best of my ability, was doing the Freddie mercury strut

That is the sweetest thing to say - it would make a great signature on this board.

The "Freddie Mercury Strut." I had not heard it put this way. NO ONE can strut better than Freddie. Just for the heck of it, I looked up strut in the dictionary: To walk with pompous bearing, swagger. To display in order to impress others. To brace with a supporting rod or bar (that could be his microphone stand.) A pompous self-important gait. To behave or perform ostentatiously; show off. I think they should have Freddie's picture next to that word in the dictionary!

When people attack you for your love of Queen, chant to yourself:

To answer your question, i attend a Catholic school and its a required class they make us take each year we take a different class dealing w/ religion.
And yes they do still teach math, very poorly i might add because of this integrated math stuff they got us doing over here in New York State in the US. Its alot to explain. But as far as proper English and spelling, they do, but not very well anymore, because my English teacher tells us everyday that we are horrible at writing essays. There is an exception for a few of us students though. And even when you speak with some students, they dont know grade 11 level-vocabulary... its kinda sad sometimes.

And thanks Carboengine, you're very sweet for thinking my sentiment was sweet as well! Yes thats how i always describe Freddies stage antics. It is a kind of swagger he has (really seen in AOBTD vid), and that lil leg kick he does when it looks like hes revving up his leg for something? Very evident in the concerts. But i didnt know i was the first to say so.

And Ditto on the QUEEN FOREVER
[QUOTE][QUOTENAME]Tyfoon wrote: [/QUOTENAME]I Then the teacher said 'Go to your head of year no one uses langage like that in my class!!!' and i was like 'all lesson the class has been swearing and then you only pick on me!!' I do admit i shoud'nt of sweard but i was so annoyed at the comments.
So I got put on Dentention and got my Queen album Conviscated. It really annoys me how I get wrong fo sticking up for my self for somthing I love, In fact It felt the same as somone calling my family.. So if this is what happens if you like a different kind of music to some people WHATS THIS WORLD COMING TO???? anyway my mother is going to my school tomorrow to sort it all out, it's a discrace I tell you.

Thank you...[/QUOTE]

Gosh, don't leave us hanging! Whatever happened when your mother went to school to sort it all out? You're not in jail, are you?

That's because they don't teach kids how to diagram sentences anymore!!! I'll bet your teacher doesn't even know.

Maybe THEY should stop listening to Kiss FM and try Queen.
Reading is fundamental.

You've made an excellent point.

TURN OFF FUCKING KISS 108 AND TRY SOME QUEEN!!!
no one tells my friends and i to turn our music off. and if they do, we tell tehm to go f**k themselves. (my friends are really scary. one of them managed to draw blood with a spoon. i rest my case).

in art, the eff-wits are always putting on their crappy hip hop and pop crap. i put up with it (every now and again a good song comes on the radio). and when they go to change the station when a song comes on that I like, i just tell them that if they move that dial, i ruin their major work, and they now i will.

so good on you for sticking up for something you love. more people should do it.
*** Cheer up emo kid! ***
Well f*cking done, you stood up for us all. i mean come on, chavs, do they even count in this country??? All you have to say is this.
"Queen. 3rd Most succesful chart act on the planet. Ahead of Beatles. Sold more albums in UK than any other act". Well, it for sure aint any of their hip/hop shit is it! Imagine, god just imagine... I would have screamed my f*cking head off at that teacher, they ALWAYS do that. good lordy...errrrrrgh chavs, all of them pregnant at 12 with seventeen failed mariages and completely kitted out in the 'wikkid' clothes brand that is FCUK. Cough scum cough. And "Just You and Me" shut up please

Yea, KISS blows...

But yea as far as the sentence thing goes, i swear to god, we did nothing but a week of that last week... its a little late in 11th grade, you cant teach an old ostinante dog new tricks. Like i do well on my essays etc, and my teacher tells me so, she said i was one of the better ones in the class, albiet she added, there was a very few of us... but just listen to some of them talk, and you know exactly what will be in their essays...
Its really really sad...
And this year in french we have to write short essays too... god that must be really fun for the teacher to correct! I learned more about the english language in French AND FRENCH then i ever did in English class...

But anywho, back on topic...
I bet you the second you mention to some one who puts QUEEN down WWRY or WATC, they change their toon...
ive had that happen before... that pisses me off..
One kid kept asking my friend why she liked a (well ill used the less dorogatory term for it) 'gay' band with a bunch of guys who F*** eachother...
Again, the outrage was unbearable, but i was not there at the time so i couldnt come to any defense.
I get the gay thing a lot too. I just say, "He technically wasnt gay, he was bi. And the other three are all married with children."

Amen to that logic. My friend says to me: "I know hoow much you LOVE your precious Queen, which is why I don't insult them to your face. Just behind your back. They were gay, weren't they?"

Um, no.
Exactly, he was technically bi.
And when they get like that, you tell them, well that whole band got more ass in ONE week then youll ever get...
But then you watch those bitches who diss queen and see how they react to WWRY or something... and if they start jamming to it, its an unwritten law, you kick them in the nuts/face.
And say piss off, you hypocritic fucker...
And there you have the future music journalists of Rolling Stone.
That's the worst day of your life? Wanna trade?
