Yes, 3 nights were filmed. And I don't mean the one shot with one camera!
Paris 79 - the facts:
All three nights were filmed, at least in part, with at least one camera angle. The bootleg video, which is only one camera angle, is surely a compilation of all three nights, as is proven in two separate ways:
For those who have the footage, observe the time clock as it spans well over 4 hours of recording time. Many songs are into the 22nd hour of footage, and match the audience recording of the third night, March 1st. Many songs are are well into the 18th hour, and these songs match the audience recording of the second night, February 28th. Freddie says "merci beaucoup Paris" at the 17 hrs, 7 minute mark, and this does not match the audience recordings of the second or third night, so it must be from February 27th. This is clear proof that all three nights were filmed to some extent.
The video has a cut in Now I'm Here, and the time clock doesn't jump, which indicates that the recording stopped and resumed. The bootleg video is only of one angle, but of course the missing footage may exist in another camera angle in the archives. If not, then they will have to work their magic to make the cut look seamless.
We know for sure from Rare Live that there is more than one camera angle from the February 28th concert, as seen on Tie Your Mother Down. We also know for sure from The Magic Years that there are several angles from the March 1st concert, as the fantastic footage of Let Me Entertain You shows.
However, we do not know if the audio from all three shows was actually properly recorded. A multi-tracked soundboard recording exists of February 28th, as a small 18-second snippet was used for the beginning of Brighton Rock on Live Killers. This doesn't conclude that the entire second night is in the vaults multi-tracked, but just that some of it was. The soundboard recordings used for the above videos are a mystery. Not only can we not prove whether or not they exist multi-tracked, we can't even prove if they're in stereo! All of this footage has mono sound.
Conclusion: If enough footage exists, and ample time is spent polishing the video quality, a "Live In Paris" DVD is definitely a strong possibility, provided that the audio is available.

about the edit in now im here : time clock proves nothing about the availability of the actual recording... but it was certainly interesting about the dates. Remember more video footage of Brussels 79 turned up from QP, released for the Japanese TV... As for H77 being better in quality on the new DVD: Simon L said that they are looking at the possibility of digitally impoving/regrading the footage, the question is is that financially worthwile or not... As for Knebworth, why people cant understand that it was NOT recorded, what we see on Magic Years and Rare Live are two camera shots of DoRo from the left and right side of the crowd... check it... they might not even have the full gig.
one addition, Budapest is 99% not considered as the next DVD.

Well, I think all shows of the Live Killers tour after the Brussels gig were recorded for a planned live album anyway, so that should mean that they have multitrack recordings(or at least they had them once) of the Paris shows, too. And why would anyone make the effort to set up everything for a multitrack recording and then record only a chunk of songs from the middle of the show(concerning the snippet that was used of the Feb. 28th show)? Have you seen the 60-minute Paris 79 bootleg video? The only possible flaw in the time clock hypothesis is that they could have copied from one tape to another, and decided to cut out the middle of Now I'm Here. I don't find that to be very likely. But as I said, there are more camera angles, so the missing section probably exists on one or more of those. Maybe the tape ran out at that point on the camera angle as seen on the bootleg. You can hear the blip at the 21:16:50 mark. The recorder stopped and continued.

Actually, the Japanese broadcast was less than what had been broadcast before! My old VHS is a couple minutes longer.

A DVD from the late 70s would sell like hotcakes in the US and Canada, because those albums sold incredibly well here. The reason why Wembley sold so well in Europe is because people in Europe know those 80s Queen songs.

A fair point. But this doesn't say for sure whether or not every show was recorded in its entirety, and that the sound quality was decent enough. Brian May has said that the quality of many of the shows was bad, leaving them with only a half dozen or so shows to actually work with. Listen to the third chorus of Champions on LK. The acoustics are awful!

Yes, of course it's just a guess, but as I said I can't really think of any reason to record only fragments of shows if they are going to release a live album. It's very time consuming to set up everything for multitracking and costs a lot of money, too. Of course the possibility remains that the equipement may have failed, but otherwise they should have complete recordings of those shows.
I know that doesn't really say anything about the quality of the full show, but the fact that they used a small part of the second night in Paris for LK could mean that the recording of the show wasn't one the worst that were discarded immediately, because they were impossible to work with.
