I could not think of someone better than celine for the task of replacing pr.
take heed that yonder dog! Look when he fawns he bites, and when he bites his venom teeth will rankle to death
Ay caramba!
I saved Spike's life in 'Nam.
I think she should go on a diet.
No wait, I thought you said Aretha Franklin!

Seriously, she may be a very talented singer but I can't stand her over-dramatised style.
You don't need to sing as if every breath is your last to convey emotion.
Well, do you still remember Elaine Paige's Queen Album? It was not that bad, just different. I can hear Celine making something similar.

Anyway, it can't get worse than that Pepsi ad with Britney & co... or can it???
Well, sounds like a interesting idea.
Im not a big Celine Dion fan, but anybody who likes Freddie and want to do a tribute to him, are welcome.
Anything with a new sound could be nice - even Celine Dion ;-)

Hopefully its much better than the 'Killer Queen' tribute, witch was filled with fairly un-known artist (boring) and was filled with crappy tributes to the songs (no new sound + boring voices)
[QUOTENAME]tia wrote: [/QUOTENAME]I read an article about Celine Dion and she is a big fan of Freddie Mercury. She said that she loved his voice, his songs and the way he performed on stage. She has actually copied a few of his moves. She goes on to say that she wants to do a tribute album of Freddies's songs.
I thought at first Oh my god, NO, but as I thought of it more I could imagine her singing songs like Bacrelona,Living on My Own,I Was born to love you.
What do you think? What songs do you think she would do well at?
welllll.....

Celine Dion can SUCK IT

I like her voice, and please tell me something...

Where are the 60 million people that bought her records in 97 and 98?

This his like the Thriller mystery. The album has sold 52 million copies and i don`t know anyone who admits to have the album...hummm!!

OK, i think it`s a good idea for her to do a tribute album on Freddie/Queen? songs, and it would reach to a newer audience in USA. I allways thought that wemen would do a loy better singing Queen songs than men. I wonder how it would sound "The show must go on".

But i never read anything about her being a big fan of Freddie. Can you tell me the source of this story?

TAke care
I cant say i would hate that as i havent heard anything done yet, untill it happens then i cant jude, simple.

It was in the weekend national newspaper in Canada. There was an interview with her and she had listed the top projects she wanted to accomplish and this was one of them.
just turn yourself into anything you think that you could ever be
no one likes celine dion- the reson record sells were so high is because she bought them all herself to make herself look better than she is

I don't like the idea of sealion dying doing anything related to Queen or Freddie

I actually don't mind Celine - she has a great dramatic voice with much power and I reckon Freddie would be "chuffed" that she would want to sing some of his songs, coz like her or not - she does have a good voice ! I have the Elaine Paige album - and that stank abit (I did not like it much) but I do think Celine would do a better job of it and she would also introduce Freddie's work to a larger audience - which would be a good thing. Anyway - c'mon - what would it hurt???? It may even make people check out Freddies versions !! I think we ought to just wait and see what is is like, before we "bag it" - and hey - you dont like Celine, or the idea - then DONT BUY THE ALBUM !!!!!!!! SIMPLE AS THAT.
I'd rather have Liza do it.
I'm Rick James, Biatch!
I say, "Good luck to her!" :-b
