It sounds almost as bad as Michael Ball singing TSMGO.

Better than that guy Paul Rodgers though at least she has sold some records unlike Paul Rodgers.

I actually had been thinking how cool it would be to have some chick who could really sing lead Queen at some point for an album and tour. I even had thought about Celine Dion so I am somewhat surprised to find this here. It might work...

Im not a big Celine Dion fan, but anybody who likes Freddie and want to do a tribute to him, are welcome.
Anything with a new sound could be nice - even Celine Dion ;-)

I totally agree with you. What's wrong with you guys?!? There's a monkey running around a stage with a half mic-stand singing WWRY and WATC, you don't complain. There's a complete nobody ruining Queen classics like TSMGO together with Brian and Roger, you go and watch the shows and enjoy (!) them. Now there's a lady with a pretty good voice who wants to sing Freddie's songs as a tribute to him and suddenly you are making petitions to stop her.
C'mon! Those petitions should have been made before the Queen+PR disaster, not now!
Go Celin! ;-)

So are Bryan Adams and Neil Young, but they're still good, aren't they?[/QUOTE]
Did I say she was bad? No. I just pointed out that she was Canadian.

You're correct Arlene. This is the 7th sign from God that the end is near. Do you think she would be opposed to us performing an excorsism on her?
Oh dear God!!!!!!!! NOOOO!!!!!! Did everyone see her attempt at "Shook Me All Night Long"?! Yeah, she is NOT a rocker... :-|
*Suigi would post, but he's currently curled up in the corner in the fetal position, sucking on his thumb, murmuring what sounds like the lyrics to Rush's YYZ*
celine dion is one of my favorite singers and has an amazing voice!!! i would love to hear here sing freddies songs!! even though nobody or anything is like that man!!!
such haters on the zone....
not only should she do a tribute album
but B and R really should consider dropping Paul Rodgers and use Celine instead
it would be fantabulous!

C'mon, wouldn't you love to hear her sing, "I'm Mr. Bad Guy, yes, I'm everybody's Mr. Bad Guy." ?
Seriously, could it be any worse than the Hwood Records Queen tribute (never heard it, never will) or 'The Freddie Mercury Album'?
You never know, some of it may be surprisingly good. And, just like all tribute albums, two seconds after its release it will be virtually forgotten.

Can't say that I'm a fan, but if that's what she wants to do, great. If it were a stripped down kind of thing (the production, not Celine) it might be okay. It probably couldn't be any worse than past Queen tributes could it?!
