announce Silver Salmon

Here are two versions of this unreleased Queen track. Version 1 is the longer 3min version with good sound quality and Version 2 ist the 2 and a half minute version with an excelent sound quality.

What was the exact recording date? Is it a queen song or does it date from earlier (e.g. Wreckage)? Who wrote it?

The song is written by Tim Staffell and was recorded in 1971 during the sessions for the first queen album.

Thank you for the info so far! Of course it's a Queen song – what I meant is what roots it has. But since Tim Staffell wrote the lyrics, I assume it comes from Smile (or at least that period), am I right?

Sorry but it's another myth. For that I read on John S Stuart posts on this forum it was recorded in 1972 during Trident sessions. (more on my site)
