Listen to the end of the track again, if you have the software you can slow it down too. The first part is quite clearly "I miss my"

Nah, it's just his falsetto, double tracked if I remember correctly. No editing there.

There's also a bit of guitar feedback at 1:53 that isn't on the album version, and the trill at 2:27 goes on for another five seconds. So it's clear that this mix was late in the game, but further work was done - including, unfortunately, the drum sound.
The drums sound killer even on this crappy sounding convention recording. The Jazz album might have the worst drum sound ever to be heard on a rock album. It's horrifically bad.

Yes. I don't understand why on earth they released it like that - back then they were still quite the perfectionists.
I have to say until I saw this thread bumped forward from 10 years ago, I always thought & I'm talking from 1983 when I first bought Jazz, that the line was "I've always wanted to be in the movies". Learn something new every day.
