I'll admit the "Queen is not Queen without Freddie" crusade is old so....
Paul is a good singer, hell, a great singer. He is just simply not suited for Queen's music. He has the more southern voice of people like Kenny Rodgers or even the king himself, Elvis. If they would have gotten someone with a more distinct and unique voice like Freddie, well, we wouldn't have this conversation right now.
I think they should have picked Antony Keidas from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I for one am really glad he got Brian and Roger out on tour, otherwise we would not have seen a great set of shows.

But at the end of the day it's just music and entertainment, so why get so upset? if you don't like it, look the other way.

You know how you look at some people and think "I bet they smell bad." Well, all pics I've seen of Paul Rodgers give me that feeling - maybe garlic sweat, maybe horrible B.O., maybe shit breath. He just looks smelly. I just can't enjoy music from someone who I think smells. I bet Freddie smelled of freshly baked cinnamon rolls, or spearmint growing in pristine Swiss pastures.

i agree, i havn't been a fan as long as you but i think it's great that they tried different genres, thats one of the reasons i love them so much!!
