I think is great to see, the best musicians in the world, and best writers (Brian & Roger)in the world... To me it doesnt matter who is on stage wit them, the most important is that they rocking again... Freddie is dead but we have his songs, John is gone but he have his songs...

John & Freddie are in some way, still in the band because their talent is on the songs that are being played on this tour... so, in some way the four members are still togheter, because freddie and john presence is in the air, everytime the band plays one of thier songs...

I think Paul is a cool guy, a great singer, and hes doing his best to filll that spot... he wiil never make it, but he's really tryin...

I have a problem wit Pauls voice... he takes the fun and happiness, these songs used to have... they sound so serious sometimes... and those ornaments he does wit his voice, freddie was maybe the best singer of alll time and he never needed all those R&B style ornaments...

God save the Queen & Paul Rodgers...
LORD OF ALL DARKNESS... QUEEN OF THE NIGHT...
Look at it like this though....

Freddie Mercury was a 1,000 trick pony.
He could sing anything.

Opera?
Rock?
Campy Vaudville so gay, that Liberace would point and say "fag"?
Pop?
Disco?
Dance?

Whatever... Freddie just dialed it in, kicked its ass...stole the show.... and everyone talked about it for years.

Paul Rodgers is about as far opposite of "Freddie's style" as another male lead singer can get.

Paul is more of a 1 trick pony.
He's got 1 voice..... but guess what folks, that 1 voice MUST BE A REALLY GOOD VOICE.

Because everything he's ever touched gets rave reviews from even the most asshole reviewers.

He's now sang in 4 world reknowned bands?
With the biggest one (Queen, of course) occuring while in his late 50's.

Guys, gals, we all know Freddie was the ultimate frontman. When ego's the likes of Bono,McCartney, and Elton come up to, and in their own way say "you just kicked our ass"..... then you know you rock. (Live Aid '85)

But, lets cut the shit..... we all know Paul Rodgers doesn't suck... and everyone reading this, even Bryan's Sperm Puddle.... gets curious when they are about to hear a Queen song sung by Paul for the first time.
*sings* I know who Sharron G. is...!

To contribute: he's a great singer, has a great blues voice, and adds a new dimension to Queen. He reminds me a lot of Roger Daltrey. Rodgers is terrific, and just the fact that Brian was so enamored with him to get him to start touring again gives him a plus in my book.
Paul Rodgers is vastly inferior to Freddie Mercury.
I think the whole Queen+PR thing could have been a lot worse, but I'm still not a fan for a couple of reasons.

1. Paul has a face that I really want to punch - he used to look sooo cool in 1970 with the hair and the big beard, but all the surgery has just made him look annoying.

2. The guy can't talk, he has to sing.

3. The music just doesn't have the same excitement for me live with the current line up. I just have to hear a snippet of any queen show from 72-86 and I'm on a high, raring to go, but at Hyde Park in July I found myself getting really bored alot of the time (and not just during Last Horizon - I made good use of that time and went for a piss!)

I've got nothing against the guy, and he has got a great voice, but Q+PR just doesn't work for me I'm afraid.

My bad.
And did I really say that? I think I meant all the nay'sayer who HASN'T seen the show, I have- so they can go and... because they don't know what they're talking about... I think... Damn, I hope that's what I meant :)

Well seriously, I have no right to say what do I think about Q+PR, because I haven't seen Q+Freddie (on live shows, not on DVDs I mean). I can't compare two things if I haven't seen one of them. But for me Queen's life is over when John's retired from post-Freddie projects, i.e. GH3.
About Paul?

to be honest i think PR was the best singer (since freddie died) that has performed with queen. i like the way his voice goes with certain queen songs.

ok he isnt half the man freddie was . but in my honest opinion. he is a great singer especially for songs like the show must go on
NO MORTAL MAN CAN WIN THIS DAY
I think he's fantastic.

One of the best rock n' roll singers there ever was or ever will be.
His voice has a great emotive quality about it.
He has a nice range, strong technique, and his voice has an excellent timbre.
He can sings ballads as well as the grittiest soul and blues.

He's one of a kind, really.
luved his singing so no complaints here.
We love you Mandy!
Total knob who cannot sing and has sold no records. Plus he is an unknown and resembles a session musician.
