I was wondering if anyone knew why they would not play MSG on the tour. I am shocked. They are playing that dump the Nassua Coliseum. Bummed out. But atleast they are coming. MSG would of been the best. No better place to see a concert..

Honestly, and I don't mean to sound mean or anything, but this is Queen's first US tour in 24 years, and I really don't think they would be able to sell out a place like MSG.
they no doubt would sell out MSG. Everyone who plays there sells it out. There are bands who you would not imagine playing there selling it out. People ive never heard of play there and sell it out.
I don't think they could sell it out. They could not sell out the Meadowlands.

Nassau Colisseum is NOT THAT BAD! I mean, of course MSG is nicer, but it's not awful.
It could be worse. They could be playing The Beacon Theater, which is the shittiest venue on the NYC metro area. I remember a couple of years ago Def Leppard played there and I felt bad for them.

This late in the game, I'd almost bet it was a booking/scheduling conflict. Most likely, the venue was an option but was already booked.

I don't know why I didn't think of that - that seems to make the most sense.

yea thats more than lots of bands could do
what is with the people here sometimes?its not about selling the tix-they would do great in the garden, its that the garden is extremely expensive to rent for promoters.also the garden is smaller then some of the other venues on this tour.finally it could be the Garden is being used during the dates they wanted to be there-they have hockey and basketball as well as college hopps all committed.
You notice they don't play Boston(Bank North)Gardens, either. They play Worchester instead.
Yes, i am a bit dissapointed about the lack of a Boston date. I am absolutely convinced that it was not done of purprose, and that there was nothing availible for the date(s) they wanted. I personally doubt they could fill the Garden, but The Orpheum, Hell yes! Also, the Lowell Tasongas Arena is very much like the NJ venue. They could have had it there, but again, more then likely sporting events conflicted.
Damn...i was really convinced Boston was a sure thing. All these years Brian has been talking about it, and i've mentioned many times about how hot Queen has been in this city since 1973. It's THE biggest musical city in the States ( all the colledges and the famous Berklee Colledge of Music)
Worcester...well at least they are in the State of MAss....this is a good thing in the end! :)

Folks they are touring during March Madness, NBA, and NHL seasons...venue availablity was very limited..I was checking over the weekend. Also promoters have a lot to do with it as well..don't blame the band
