That's probably the way to go with these things. We liked the full Wembley '86 concert, and most of us enjoyed Milton Keynes '82, and the bonuses were great (highlights from other shows, rehearsals, photos, interviews, etc.)
They should have done something like that with ROTC. I mean, Imagine is not enough in my opinion...

Don't get me wrong...I see your point. But, however, we buy these DVD's for the concert. And any bonus material included is just that....bonus material. They're not obligated to give us anything. God knows they have already released a pretty sizeable catalogue, not even counting any further releases. I'm just thankful they released the ROTC show on DVD. After all, the music is what turned me on to Queen in 1991, not interviews, photos, etc.
By the way, if this makes me a Stepford (or whatever the fuck the word is), so be it. I could care less about labels.

I own the video since 1993 and it contains some very good snippets from shows all around the world. The only thing one could complain about, is the editing. It would have been better to start with the early shows and then go up to 1986. Anyway "Rare Live" is much better than the "Queen Rocks"-crap from 1997.

Well, true, although it begs the question why were the two still included, and why the hell was a promo video included? Plus we had by then seen a great deal of footage on the earlier "Magic Years" compilation.

Which is also true, as long as the captioning is included in the definition of "editing".
My own view is that this was the quintessential example of a pretty good idea horribly executed.
Had it been an hour (ideally 90 mins) of previously unseen footage, with brief captions that were a) accurate & b) not enclosing the whole picture, and if they had limited themselves to one location per performance, it would have been reasonably pleasant to watch.
I might also have preffered to have the tracks chosen be chronological, but accept that this at least is a debatable point. Rather arrogantly, I believe the previous paragraph to be bordering on the unarguable.
