all I have to say is I love Roger taylors Last 2 solo albums and the 2 Cross albums I've been able to get,maybe being in Queen stoped him from being a great solo artist,Love his stuff,

But in all seriousness, his good looks have nothing to do with his opinions.
And Bri's always been one of the serious ones in the group and Rog's always been the sarcastic/humourous one.
And i wonder if its part of the maintaining the badboy image thing too.
Hes always had more i duno... I guess politically charged, real life type songs, like Nazis or I just wanna testify, (more rockin hardcoreish types) not the beautifuly emotive Who Wants to Live Forever types.
And the lyrics to the Miracle are slightly naive, but its a great song nonetheless IMO, a song full of hope for a more peaceful world.
Its not like hes walking around going "wow this songs bloody sh** and i cant believe they make me do this"

Actually, the fact that Roger thinks for himself, and is not afraid to bluntly speak his mind, whether we agree with him or not, and that he is bold enough to not ''follow the pack'' and speak from his own heart and mind, no matter what others think...
...makes him even HOTTER, because he has a brain and uses it!
I may not always agree with what he says, but I respect him very much for having the guts to say his piece.
And taking on the likes of Rolling Stone in his letter to them, or of all people, the VERY powerful media mogul, Rupert Murdoch, in Roger's song about Murdoch, and writing songs about rascism, politics, etc. as well as life lesson songs like TATDOOL, shows what a free thinker and brave man he can be.
I don't think he's all that ''bad boy'' at all and it's just an image of the typical rock & roller.
Somehow I get the feeling he is a very sensative man who puts up with alot of sh*T and covers that with a veneer of ''oh that's just BS'' bravado.
Anybody that could write the lyrics he did to These Are The Days Of Our Lives, Innuendo, and Nazis must have a lot on the ball and I certainly credit him for being quite intelligent, reflective, outspoken, brave, gutsy, and excuse me for having balls.

Roger has his own opinions. Surely there's not anything wrong with that? I think whoever started this topic in the first place, you're being a bit too harsh by saying he's a twit. Don't we all like some songs more than others?

Freddie made the comment about Queen's songs all being disposable like Bic razors (though I realize that he was also using bravado to beat the critics at their own game and that for Freddie, each Queen song, especially the ones he wrote literally gave his life meaning, especially in his final days of illness.)
Brian made the comment about BoRhap not being all that pivotal or defining a song or point in Queen's career, which I think was his way of saying, maybe it was at the time, but no one wants their entire career and worth to be based on one song..and he wants ALL of Queen's work to be thought of as innovative and having merit, and taking new chances and directions.

A thread like this will never work. We talk in 2 languages. If one person comments on their look, their personality is challenged. If one comments their personality, their looks are challenged.
