Where did it begin for you?

I got into Queen when I was about 2. My dad had 'greatest hits II' and I just grew up listning to it. You know what it's like when you're a kid, everything is on repeat, except for me it was Queen instead of 'sing yourself silly'. I knew all the words to 'I want it all' by the time I was 3! I kept nagging dad to buy new Queen CD's for us to "share". Some of the only times my brother was nice to me was when we would pretend to be Queen. I would be Roger Taylor, with my pot's and pan's drumkit and chopsticks, and my brother would be Brian May using a tennis racquet instead of the 'red special'. I am now glad to say my 3 yr old cousin and his 7 yr old sister are into Queen too, it made me so sad the other day when the 7 yr old asked me if she wrote a nice letter to god, would he let us have Freddie back?

The Mighty Ducks 2 soundtrack had We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions, and I watched that movie all the time and they soon became my two favorite songs. My dad was always a huge Queen fan, so he'd play his News Of The World cassette whenever I was in the car with him. Loved it, and he introduced me to ANATO soon after, been a fan ever since. Originally only really listened to ANATO, NOTW, Innuendo, and The Game, and Greatest Hits 1 & 2, got into the rest of the albums over the last couple years.

1987 for me, I brought a copy of GH1 on vynil for £5 off my cousin. I still have it, its totally battered and covered in those fake autographs that many nine year olds tend to do.......and most of ebay these days!

Yes, I was 9, hooked and still am.

it was in 1992,I made my parents buy me a greatest hits 1,I don't know why I did it back then,and where I found out about them.but I remember quiet well playing in my room and listening to bicycle race and flash gordon.I do not have the cassette anymore unfortunately

I was just starting to learn the Bass Guitar, and my teacher gave me the riff of AOBTD. I listened to the song fully, and it went on from there!

it was 98 i think when my dad bought queen rocks. and i listened to songs like wwry and tymd. etc. and i was hooked

Saw them doing ‘Seven Seas Of Rhye’ on Top Of The Pops in Feb 1974 and I was hooked. I was 11 years old.

it was in 2004, 13th january, i was bored one evening and i was flicking through the music channels and i was on VH1 and there was a queen night so i was about to watch it when my friend called for me so i asked my mam to tape it and when i got back i watched it and i was in tears by the end because F.M the untold story came on and i was just so moved by it. other programmes were, queen legends, queen top 10 and live at the bowl. so i began listening to the music and i fell in love with this extroadinary band.

Most creative thing I did all week.

My mum had GH1 on vinyl and she played it sometimes. I thought it was OK, but I really got into Queen in 2002 aged 12 when my school Christmas concert was We Will Rock You. It wasn't actually the musical WWRY, but they played tons of Queen songs. I asked for the Platinum Collection for Christmas and got it. Didn't stop listening for weeks. Totally hooked. Have since bought all the albums and got my best mate into Queen (a bit).

My Mum played a lot of Queen cos she loves them. Then I saw 'A Winter's Tale' on a music channel and I loved it straight away. I recorded it onto DVD and needed to find the song. I eventually found it on a mp3 site and I finally bought the album last March.


So ever since I've had to find every Queen song I can.

in 1991, when I was 11. We had heard about Freddie's death and my father decided to buy a CD (GH2). Now I can't imagine my life without Queen!
