OK, thought I'd better do something as it's been a while. I've tried several times to do something with Prophet, and after a bit of fiddling about, came up with this:-
Above all, play it LOUD!! It's beefed up, and cut down to what could perhaps be called a single edit. There's some effects here and there, but most of them you probably won't hear without headphones, because when I mixed it all together, the vocal track with the effects on got slightly buried, but I think it sounds heavier than the original, and I was reasonably pleased with it.
A combination of Sony Soundforge, and Adobe Audition. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks to you and thank for your mix, GREAT!
Why don't ask to hollywood record to call you when they put a mix on an album? :)
Cheers

Lol, you mean you don't like the Hollywood remixes? ;)
I've just put an alternative version of Prophet in the opening post, with a slightly different edit in the middle.

I like the difference version!
Great as always! :)

Your standard mix sounds great! Thought the reverb was a bit high in the treble area. I'd have cut it down a bit. And I don't mean bring down the reverb in the mix, I mean the high shelving of the reverb effect.
Though there are a couple of bad points - that's to do with the lower mids area. Sounds a bit muffled lower down in the mix at times. And there's some kind of weird sound over the vocal and sometimes other parts.
Peace,
Adam.
P.S. Could I get the pieces that made up your mix? Or are you still doing destructive editing?

Hi, Yet Again, Another GREAT remix from you, your Lordship.
Yes I Do have to agree with Ale-Pisa, your Re-mixes ARE a lot better than some of the Hollywood re-mixes. E.g. Hollywood records remix of Bicycle Race.( what utter crap that was.) I mean don't get me wrong, some of the hollywood remixes are great, like "Tie Your Mother Down" & such, but I think, to include the "Modern Style - Remixes" on the CD's was a mistake. (I can even understand, why Hollywood chose to put them on, you know, to appeal to a younger generation.)I think subtle, is sometimes more effective, than "Right In Your Face" outlandish.
So Again, I say, that your re-mixes are way better. Keep up the great work & I can't wait for your next!!!

I've decided to listen to your alternate mix for now (it's 01:45 AM).
Really like the a capella intro :-) ...I gotta say, I'm really, really liking this a lot. Unfortunately, my speakers don't allow headphones so I'm sure I'm missing some great stuff.

Sorry, I don't get what you mean - are you saying there's too much treble in the reverb? That's extremely, er, 'detailed'. Can you specify where you mean? I did put a bit of high end boost across the whole thing.

Unfortunately, the centre vocal channel also contained drums and bass, so the 'muffled' bits may be something to do with over-layering the bass, perhaps? Again, can you say which part you're referring to? The 'weird sound' on the vocals was a stereo expanding effect, which sounded great on the single track, but did create a slight 'tube' effect in some parts, when mixed back into the other channels, but I didn't think it was too bad.
Peace,
Adam.

What was the question again?? Lol! It was done by splitting the channels on the DVD-A. What bits did you want?
Thanks also to the other guys for your comments!

excellent stuff!
Could you do more mixes and upload them, in my opinion they are superb (i like the reverb that you used!)

Thanks! There are several other 'Fickle' mixes on here, if you haven't already downloaded them. Doing a search for 'fickle mix' should bring them all up. I don't get so much spare time these days, so don't expect any more just yet!

Great mix, only, why did you make this version faster?
