The real thing:
Leeds 1982. My first concert and my favorite.
Birmingham NEC 1984 (1st night, Aug 31st)
Manchester and Knebworth 1986.
Others:
Tribute concert, Wembley 1992
Brian; Newcastle 1993 and Sheffield 1998.
Roger; Sheffield 1994 and 1999
The Cross; Bradford and Leeds, both 1988.
Q+PR Sheffield 2005.
As for the 'extra backing singer' at Manchester I'm pretty sure it was someone from the band who came on before Status Quo but I can't remember who that was. I can remember that I didn't think much of them and they were more of a 'pop' rather than a 'rock' band.
I too remember Teardrop Explodes getting bottled at Leeds. Not just bottles but all sorts of crap got thrown at them. They had a really hard time. Felt a bit sorry for them at the time although they weren't my kind of music.

It's all on the bootleg I have from Mr. Scully, the intro is about 20 mins long I think[/QUOTE]
I seriously thought that something was broken!!! I remember we kept looking with PG at each other with... well- it seemed completely surreal...

NYC 2/77 (ADATR tour)
NYC 12/77 (NOTW tour)
NYC 3/80 (The Game tour)
After the next tour they never came back to the U.S.
In '79 I was 15. I was punished and my parents wouldn't allow to me to go to the show on the Jazz tour!!
However, on the Game tour I had second row and am proud to have made an actual impression on Freddie that night. He came out at one point, near the end of the show, with a bunch of grapes. He was holding them over the audience's heads so we could take some. I reached up and went to grab them, only to lose my footing, grabbing the whole bunch, thereby pulling him slightly forward, and falling into the seats in front of me. Head first. But I came up with grapes! I remember the look on Freddie's face as I was going down - like "look at this idiot' or something close to it! I have photos from both the 12/77 and 3/80 shows. And tour books fom all 3.

When Freddie died, I was about 1 month old. So, of course, I never made it... But if I would have an time machine, I ceraintly would go to some Queen concert, there is no better thing on the whole world.
1978 and 1980 in Cleveland. Missed 77 because I was not aware they were here till the next day! Wish we had the internet back then. They were also here in July of 82 but I did not see them then. That was their last visit....till Tuesday!

Sorry to tell ya Jimmy... but I never heard of any Queen concert in Glens Falls,NY the week before "We will Rock You" was filmed in Montreal in November 1981...
...so I guess you could use the towel just like any other towel you bought the next time you wash your hands! :-)))

I don't have as many impressive concerts as many of the older fans, but I did see Queen 4 times in years 1978 - 1982.
My first concert was Oakland California in December 1978.
College friends coaxed me into coming along and the concert blew me away! I was thinking ' Who is this Freddie guy? He is amazing...sexy, charismatic, a fantastic vocalist.'
I made a point to catch every concert tour they made after that.....and I went out and bought every Queen album in existence as of 1978.
