I thought so, but I just couldn't believe it based off the crazy sound that song has. It's amazing, but I guess if you think about it, there have been many people who have worked their guitars into sounding quite different. Take Hendrix for example; at his time, a weird guitar like that for the kind of music he played was odd. And to this day, I still sit in awe everytime I put him on my record player. It's crazy.

I agree, Good Company is definatly underrated. Many of Bri's earlier compositions were i think. I mean The White Queen (As it Began) was Sheer Brillance!
And for me, Brian May is the greatest guitarist ever. Well its a tie with him and Hendrix, but their experimentation cannot be beat. When youve got such raw talent, theres NOTHING better. And I dont understand how people can say that someone like Eddie Van Halen is such a fantastic guitarist. Yes he was good i suppose, i dont see what was so fantastic about him. But he was not merely as good as Our Mr. May or Mr. Hendrix.
Anywho, back to Bo Rhap. Yes it is a FANTASTIC song, no disputes here as i can see. Thats like one of those natural facts that everyone knows. But is it the pinacle of ANATO, not really. It was the final push that finally made Queen as big as they became, but if people bothered to pay attention they could have seen it coming with songs like MOTBQ and Great King Rat. But the whole album of ANATO could stand up on its own, but i dont think Queen would have been as popular to the whole of the world without the Explosion that was Bo Rhap.
But yes, it is definatly one of Queens Best songs SHEER GENIOUS!!! But thats not a short list because IMO there isnt a track that i DONT like. And theres so many songs that are great and that were totally underrated, such as the Prophets Song and Good Company. And I agree with Jamie, I love Prophets song sometimes more than Bo Rhap, but that depends on the Day and my mood, as with any Queen song. I wont like it less, but on the given day, i would Prefer one over the other. Yea, thats the better wording, it depends on the day and mood, i may prefer a song over another.

Prophet's Song is a pinacle of ANATO. Together with jazz orchestra in Good Company. It would be a genius album even without BoRhap. However, having said that- without BoRhap it could have gone unnoticed...
I may be the only one to feel this way, but I've never been able to get through the The Prophet's Song. Not the pinnacle for me.
It's been said here already, and I agree, if BoRap were not there(though, for me BoRap is IT) than I think You're My Best Friend is the ideal song on this album. It's pop, yes, but classic.

Bohemian Rhapsody, no doubt one of the greatest songs ever written and plays a huge part on the album. But I would have to say I think The Prophet's Song is a masterpiece (also one of the greatest songs ever written in my opinion) and deserves as much praise as Bo Rhap does.
The problem for some is, including myself as a "young" fan (well, 19 is pretty young), I found it difficult as I amassed each album to not view it as the Bohemian Rhapsody album, or the Crazy Little Thing/Save Me album, or the We Will Rock You/We Are The Champs album.
Unless you can put yourself in a place where it is an album again, without knowing which songs would be the commercially successful, you can never really give a definite answer.

OK, I hate The Prophet's Song. It is the only track on the album I do not like, I love all the rest of them I would say BoRhap is the best song on ANATO and it was clearly the song that grabbed people's attention so that they noticed Queen, but I also believe that SHA is a better album than ANATO overall. BoRhap is still my favourite Queen song.

What I meant was, for those who weren't around for the majority of the releases, and already knew Queen from the singles, when you listen to the albums, it's harder to view them as one whole equal piece, rather than two singles and ten new songs (if you see what I mean). In which instance, it would be easier to view A Night At The Opera as a whole album, rather than what we know it as... the one with Bohemian Rhapsody.

That many musical styles, emotions like depression, dispair, pure madness, rage and resignation in the end (in that order) and all that in just over 5 minutes! And catchy as well!!! We´re talking about the most briliant piece of music ever written. Long may she reign!
