I am growing more and more bitter as the tour comes closer. Why??? 23 dates of Queen on tour and in my top ten largest U.S. city, Dallas, Texas, I am within 724 miles(according to MapQuest) from Atlanta which is the closest show there is. It's as if they planned the tour to comb all areas of the U.S. so long as they are nowhere near Texas. The only centralized areas of the tour are extremely northward.

WHY?????????????????????????????????????

Can't they have ONE F#$%ING SHOW within driving range??? Oh, they will hit San Diego and Anaheim, no problem. It's not like they are 2 hours from each other, not to mention they already hit L.A. in October.

I'm sure you Austrailians and Russians will just be thinking, "welcome to our world dude." but...

QUEEN SCREWED OVER THEIR TEXAS FANS(surrounding states as well)!!!

This isn't the first time either. I was going to see Brian at the Crossroads concert Eric Clapton put on 2 summers ago, but wouldn't you know it... Brian was the one act who dropped out.

In short... This is bullshit!!!!!
I feel bad for you.....

It's a little tougher here in Canada. It's a 4 hour flight to Toronto, but I'll be there!

I'm driving almost 900 miles to see a show and I'm loving every minute of it!!! If people would spend half as much of their time trying to do something about what upsets them rather than bitching about it, they might accomplish something wonderful!
Wo ist das kamerahhhhhhhhhhh!!! NJ!!!
I hate to think how many miles we are gonna end up drivin'. Ahh well..I've waited for Brian and Roger to tour here for so many years, it's worth it!! :-)
For years I have flown overseas to see brian, roger and last year QPR. I have hoped they would come over for a few dates in the US and I am grateful. Promoters bid for shows---don't blame the band.

I am doing 9 shows- a lot of driving and flying but worth it. I think this is our last chance.
Yeah, I flew overseas last May and flew to October so it's not like I haven't seen them. That's not my point. My point is, why exhaust the 23 dates to be evenly spread out across the United States, except keeping within 200 miles of the Louisiana Purchase. Why completely blow us off. Now if I want to see them, I will have to make the drive.

I hate how this board as a majority(not all) will automatically defend any Queen official decision, no matter how justifiable the complaint is.
I agree there should have been, at least, one date in Texas. And I was disappointed that there wasn't a date in the Carolinas, especially since PR seems to have a pretty good fan base down here. Having said that, I NEVER, EVER thought that "Queen" would tour the US, so I'm taking anything I can get. :-)
Yea it's sad ..but it may be the demographics!
The Bible Belt an all they may feel that they would not do as well there...........go figure.
The Closest thing you'll get to QUEEN in the SOUTH will have to be that Tribute "QUEEN FOR A DAY"
check em out at for schedules at

or search www.youtube.com under "qfad" or "queen for a day"
It would have been nice to catch Brian, Roger, and Paul In Dallas or Houston......oh well

I agree that they should do at least 1 date near Houstan and I do feel sorry for those who are missing out (cos it's an amazing experiance!) but, seriously..it's a bit much..

This is so true Linda. The US is way too big for them to be able to please everyone. There is no way they could hit every state. They don't even have enough dates to hit half of all the states even if they weren't doubling up some. We are so lucky that these guys almost in their 60s are choosing to do this!!! They aren't coming to my state either and there is nothing I can do about it but exactly what I am doing...driving to where they are and I'm going to have a freaking BLAST while I'm at it!!!! I am sure the places they are visiting were carefully calculated economically and there is a logical reason for this, it's nothing personal against your state. They do have to pay the crew that sets them up and drives them around.

It's not that I support every single decision Queen makes, it's just that I know I have no control over what decisions they make so I make the best out of what I have to work with. That's all it is. In general, I'm not a negative person and I don't spend my days saying "what if" and "why not." I look on the positive side of things. I am extremely grateful that I get to see 1/2 of the band I love play, LIVE!! In front of my eyes!! I also love Paul Rodgers and I get to see him!! Two awesome things that not every fan will get to experience in their lives. I'm taking full advantage of it and I refuse to moan and groan. If you want to moan and groan, go ahead, it's your right. I'd just like to suggest that you spend your time and energy on figuring out how to get to see them again bc I think Erin is right, this will be the last chance we get.

Man, please be excited over this!! This is so awesome that we are getting this opportunity to see a band we love!!

I am surprised they've not gone to Texas. It's massive, you can't miss it. What did you Texans do to them?

Start a petition.
As someone also upset they are not playing the Texas area, I am disappointed. I would have loved to travel to one of the other cities but do not have the time or money to do so right now.

I wish Lisser and everyone the best, and hope they have a blast. Just wish I could too.
DJ's the man we love the most
Maybe, just maybe, Queen has looked at regional sales numbers and has discovered that they don't have much of a fan base in Texas and that Texas instead is hooked on the Dixie Chicks and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Make the trip to Atlanta or another Queen city. You won't regret it.

(Of course, I'm just sitting here in San Diego crying my eyes out that your Dixie Chicks aren't coming here for me. yea, right)
The journey is part of the experience. It makes it more memorable
