As for the "can't play everywhere" argument, if they spread the tour out perfectly over 3 venues by geography, the middle one would still be closer than Atlanta. We aren't talking about missing my home town. 724 miles to the closest venue!
I agree with a round of applause for those who are toughing it out, I may end up being another. I am just saying this sucks ass that they were so thick with dates on the West and East coast, went across the North, and left the south out completely!

I feel lucky that they are coming to Chicago. If Queen did not come within 700 miles of Chicago, I would probably have to miss the tour due to cost, family and time issues.
"There's a whole lot in between" from Cowboys & Indians rings very hollow. Really, there is no excuse for missing most of the heartland of North America, and only hitting the perimeter of the US.
I think Brian and Roger got confused between Australia and North America, and assumed that the central US was just a complete desert wasteland.

I won't resort to saying anything trite like 'at least they're on the same continent as you'. If they were to play Sydney and not Perth for instance, they'd be on the same continent as *me*, but still hopelessly far away.
How do you think I feel, Q+PR aren't even comming NEAR my whole country, so I don't have the slightest chance of going to see them unless I come up with over $2000, which is not gonna happen any time soon. I have been part of a group who sent a petiton to Brian May to get them to come down and pay us a visit...that really is my only chance

Last year I crossed two national borders and travelled almost 24 hours just to get from my hometown to Budapest. "A 4-hour flight"??? How about 16 hours on a very cramped bus? That's commitment for you!!!

Indeed, it's an admirable sentiment but I don't see how my financial situation makes me less a fan... trust me, if I weren't so into music at TAFE, and if I hadn't set aside all my money for the course, I'd probably blow it all on going to see Queen somewhere. Meh.

No, I should be, as I was before reading your post, ignorant to their political intentions because they are a dorky Country/pop group. I pay attention to informative news, not the ignorant ramblings of pop celebrities.
Since they suck musically as well, I guess there is nothing worth paying attention to the Dixie Chicks. If they start making out with one another... there would be a video of theirs I would watch. As far as their political views, I find only fascinating the fact that it made news and that it upset that many people who should have(if they had a brain) either paid zero attention, or shrugged it off as a meaningless bit of information.
