Hehe, That would probably have been me asking you to chant it, I approached a group a gals in the east entrance and asked them if they would chant for 39 after Crazy Little Thing, and then I noticed they were in the upper section, like section 218, or 219.. the main reason I was asking people to chant it was because its a very good sing-a-long song and a personal favorite of mine and my friends.. it was a shame that it wasn't sung.. :(

Just got back home - jetlegged, so I'll keep it short! ;-)
Detroit was SUPERB! Great atmosphere and the band played a very tight set! Was it just me that had the feeling though that Paul had slight voice problems??
(Hey, he was still amazing, but just comparted to other nights...)
I saw Erin on the big screen in the beginning! ;-)
I saw myself on the big screen at the end during GSTQ!! :-D (Yes, I was the one nerdy enough to take out my flag ;-))) that I initiatlly just brought to cover up for my recording divice - which they took away from me at the entrance :-S
But WHY on earth was I the only one singing along to LOML???
You Americans REALY need a lesson in audiance participation! ;-)))
During Under Pressure the roof blew off, though!!! What a FABULOUS moment!!
Anyway, I had a great time, would not have wanted to have missed it for anything. It's one year today exactly since Brixton. Can't believe what happened in that time. The band become SO much better and to me personally, the tour was a blast.

Good to see you had a good time, Jeroen. You missed William, which is really inexcusable:) Too bad they snatched your equipment - again. Luckily, there is a nice audio recording available.
I was wondering what happened to you, jeroen! What did they do with your recording device, after they took it? I made a small, paper sign that said '39 on it, and they made me throw it away..geez.. If I had known that would be a problem, I would've folded it up tiny. I have a feeling that no amount of signs or yelling would have got us '39 anyway! ;-) Brian HAD to have heard people screaming for it at the end of the catwalk. Oh well..

I said to my friends afterwards that I REALY hoped someone else did succeed in recording. This was a too good show to let it be lost forever. Wonder If I can hear myself in the bootleg ;-)))
They already took my gear at the entrance. They where just very politely in saying that it was not allowed and that I got the choice to put it back in the car or leave it at the desk. I left it there and picked it up afterwards.
Security was indeed rediciolously tight. At first they already came up to me when I stood up from my chair! Hey TYMD - NO WAY I am sitting down!! I did not sit down at all after that ;-)
I was sitting on the last chair next to the isle and when I one time stood NEXT to my chair insteed of in front of it, they came up to me AGAIN!
Then I also saw them telling people off who put their empty cups next to them on the floor...
Then there was this smell of weed (which actually came from two guys right behind me) - you should have seen them! There where tens of security guards wandering round. Of course all where looking at me, (I only had a beer! ;-) because I was obviously 'different', having A BALL, compared to the much lamer people around me ;-))) Hey, they took my recording divice, and I don't get to sing along that often ;-) I made sure I lost my voice in Detroit! ;-)))
LOL, after the show the guys with the weed came up to me and showed their respect; "You were jammin' man"! ;-)))
But anyway; yeah, I realy pitty the security people inside. Their hyper-strictness was just sad. Well, at least they get payed for something. They kept themselves realy busy all night ;-)
Btw: I forgot to mention that I realy liked seeing that Paul now also has his trip 'down memory lane' on the big screen during Bad Company. There are all kinds of old BC, Free and even The Firm-pictures in there. Great to see a shot of Jimmy Page in there too! :-)

Down by where I was sitting these guys tried to sneak on to the floor, the secerity guard was like "GET YO ASSES OUT THESE SEATS!" I couldn't help but laugh.

On smells: at the Cleveland show it just smelled of food real bad, and then beer. At the Detroit show, it was a weedfest around us.

I hadn't seen a single flake in 3 years, and when we were driving through West Virginia, the mountains and trees were beautiful with the snow. Having said that, I froze my ass off up there! ;-D
