Its funny that you all are talking about tight security... because when me and my friend got in, (I was the first ticket taken on the East enterance nearest to the ticket window) all they did was tell us to enjoy the show and scanned our ticket, there were NO security, no checks or anything, and when we got to our section there was no one there to check us out there either, so we could have smuggled in all kinds of stuff..

Yeah weed was VERY prominate at this show, it was funny there were a group of young kids behind us that kept saying it smells like Skunk.. lol of course that weed was mixed with something. oh yeah, and those same kids BARELY left the show with all their teeth in place, they just would NOT shut up.. I understand the need to yell and sing along, but NOT hold personal conversations the ENTIRE show.. we told them if they wanted to just talk to go out in the main hall, they can still HEAR the music and talk, but they said no.. the only thing that saved them was they were under 18.. my friend was the one that was really pissed, I myself was having WAY too much fun to really care.. lol

Both times I saw Queen in Detroit they REALLY rocked more than the shows around them, and for that I am PROUD..
my only regret is I was not able to meet more from Queenzone.. but then again, meeting William was enough.. LOL and I am sure he was honored to have met the one and only Megamike.. LOL
My Brothers and Sisters all hated me 'cause I was an only child... -Weird Al (Generic Blues) I gave up on books when 'To Kill A Mockingbird' gave me no useful advice on how to kill a mockingbird.
Just checked your profile pic Mike. You look different than before.... :-)

on a serious note... RICHARD!!!! you had better get this fixed!! :) it will not allow me to upload my own pic nor will it allow me to delete the one there.. and to the person to whom this picture really does belong to.. I DID NOT DO THIS.. do not blame me.. lol the last thing I uploaded was a south park pic.. thats it..

Detroit was SUPERB! Great atmosphere and the band played a very tight set! Was it just me that had the feeling though that Paul had slight voice problems??
(Hey, he was still amazing, but just comparted to other nights...)

But WHY on earth was I the only one singing along to LOML???
You Americans REALY need a lesson in audiance participation! ;-)))

Detroit was that good wasn't it.
I agree about Paul's voice. I thought it sounded a little fatigued. Still sounded good but not as good as the Toronto show or some of the bootlegs, DVDs etc.

I sang on LOML but started to get self conscious since everyone was soooo quiet around me. My usually boisterous friend, who sang sooo loud in Toronto, stopped singing on LOML.
The people in the row ahead of me were up and down all night getting beer.
The effects of their consumption finally assisted their audience participation during We Will Rock You.

I entered the same place as Mike Preston and the said "open you jacket and lift your arms". I did and they said "have a good time". My sister had a 'purse from hell' and they said "go ahead ... enjoy the show". My friend had some organic substance and he smiled at security. They smiled back and that was all. Oh and they also said "have a good time" :D
I really would have liked to have met some Queenzoners. I was in the section right next to Mike Preston but didn't really have time look. I did talk to big Queen fan from Detroit and told him about QZ. I bet he'll be around.
Detroit was off the hook! I think Brian was just blown away with how much Detroit loves Queen. Glad I was finally able to see Queen live albeit w/o John or Freddie. All security said was, "Open your Jacket and Have a good time." Didn't smell any weed. Just had people behind me talking thru the whole thing and a couple of drunks yelling in Hindu (I believe) near the end of the concert. Took about 100 pics, unfortunely most were very blurry. Most of the best ones came at the end of concert. Guess I should have learned to use my camera a little bit better. Didn't notice too many mistakes, but the one that sticks out is early in the concert when Paul dropped his microphone. Sang pretty much throughout the whole concert. Loved the audience participation bits during LOML, Radio Gaga, Roger's drum solo and maybe Cant get Enough of your Love. All in All, that was THE best concert I've ever been to. Hope they tour again and play Detroit. If not, then more DVDs and CD's. We want more Queen. Sorry if I seem a liitle over the top, but I still feeling it from Friday night.

Yes driving five hours in nasty weather was not nice, but totally worth it. I had to drive 6 hours in nasty weather, but stayed over night in Auburn Hills. I had to see Queen one more time after the Toronto and Buffalo shows! The curtained area at the Palace seemed to me to be a waste of seating. It looked like those seats would be great to see the band front on. I had to make a choice between expensive seats and seeing them once or $45.00 seats and see them more than once. I had good seats in Toronto though!

I seen 2 people video tape it, the guy in front of us was, he was not even a fan, as I heard them talking before the show, figure he was taping for the other guy ( they came as a pair)

I wanna see them again, too. Let's rob a bank, jeroen! ;-)
Count me in! I need a couple more days off!!!
This is who I am You can Like it or not You can Love me or leave me 'Cause I'm never gonna stop.
So I got my pictures developed from the concerts.

The pictures I took from Erin and Pieter taking pictures of Brian and Paul don't look too good :-( You can see B. and P. really well but all you see of E. and P. are the white of their shirt sleeves...
