pork.
Yes, liver is dusgusting, but to germans such as I, liverwurst is awesome. Just like Kimchee and haggis, I guess you have to develop an acquired taste for it.

Also snails, I'm quite outgoing with what I eat and will try anything and I really like oysters and stuff but snails I found horrible. They were all chewy and lumpy.
^Very nice description. i will make a mental note never to eat snails.
I've never had calamari but caviar on wafer crackers....no comment.

Oh yeah...I read a travel magazine one time and I can't remember where but it was a primitive place in like Africa or The South Pacific, and fried SLUGS are considered a delicacy!!!!

Sea cucumbers.

Oh. My. God.

We went to an authentic Chinese restaurant once (as opposed to an American-Chinese restaurant) and ordered this dish filled with veggies (we're not big meat eaters). We're thinking, 'sea cucumbers', cool. New vegetable.

Well they packed it up for us and we took it home. Imagine, the table is set, stomachs are rumbling and then we open the foil platter and see not cucumbers but... SLUGS!!!!!

Yes. Slugs. I swear. Thick, black, gooey looking slugs.

There were about eight of them curled up on top of whatever else was in the platter. I don't know what else was in there or what those things might have tasted like. One sight of them was enough to double me over.

Geez, how did I miss this? Sorry. My post was about this exact 'delicacy'. Blech.

I don't like ground-buffalo. Looks weird, tastes weird.

But it's not the grossest thing I've ate. I really have to think hard before I answer that question and try to recall everything I have tried.
