I kind of agree with Barry there. I don't listen to queen sometimes. But, when i think about it, queen is always the band I consider to have done the best, been the most creative...So I always go back. And even when I'm not listening, I still consider them the best.

I'd have to say the Beatles. Sure Queen are the BEST!!!11!!1 band ever, but the Beatles do seem to...Exceed above them..Like Brian said..Nobody beats the Beatles.
Dont know too be honest i think Queen and U2 are the best ever
Beatles are so overrated.
Their songs are so simplistic and now, totally irrelevant.
Please do not even mention Queen and Beatles in the same breath!
Queen is many times better than Beatles.
There is NO BAND OR SINGER that comes close to Queen. This is not an opinion. This is FACT.

I just have to say...
I don't think anyone can honestly say who's "Better" as in, a real definition. It's all taste.
I've heard Queen compared to Led Zepplin (I like them, too) a lot, but the only time I was listening to Queen and thought it sounded like Zepplin was during the song "Get Down, Make Love" - during the whole orgasmically spacey part.
Bands shouldn't sound like each other, and that's good. My one thing that brings a band down, is when all their songs sound the SAME. I like Foreigner and AC/DC, but a ton of their songs sound the same and I couldn't listen to a whole album without going mad!
Thinking about this, I see that a LOT of bands have their "sound". What Queen has is DIVERSITY. In my own opinion, that counts for a lot. Not only did every member of the band write songs, but each person's songs varied. "'39" is much different from "Tie Your Mother Down" is much different from "Who Want to Live Forever". Not every band could do that, or wanted to. I can't, at the moment, reacall a band with such internal diversity... by that convoluted language, I mean - not some cover band that covers Metallica and also Britney Spears.
Plus, I just happen to like strange little ditties, and Queen had plenty of them.

Sometimes I go off listening to Queen, for years I liked Queen but from time to time I don't listen to them at all. I think that the fact is I heard them thousands of times before. Usually after a length of time I will always go back and listen to them all again. Queen will always remain my best band ever.
barry, could not put what you wrote better , top notch , excactly this ,

No one beats Queen!! But of course, some tie up with them. Such would be The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and you guessed it- Billy Joel.
No.
Some come ever-so-close, but none are better. I don't mean to offend anyone here, but I totally disagree with people thinking the Beatles are better, I mean, yellow submarine over bohemian rhapsody, I don't jolly well think so.
