I read somewhere that "Lose Yourself" supposedly samples "Now I'm Here", but I don't hear it....

LMFAO!!! OMG IM DYING!! I cant see that (atleast them doing that in all seriousness, but as a joke, yea, and its F***IN HILARIOUS!!!! [that would beat a Monty Python skit for me if i saw that!]

And Bri dressed in baggy Sean Johns and a doo rag with the curls hanging out...
and roger without a shirt on and a giant platinum RT necklace on and more "bling bling" rings on his fingers than Ringo starr and P.Diddy combined... holding a giant pimp cup...
lol and heres the clincher...
John 'Deakyboi' Deacon shows up on a "collabo" with baggy jeans and his boxers hanging out with a huge tatoo across his chest and break dances around his bass....

But yea, thats what most songs are about...

But im not a fan of Em's, but he does have some good songs like 'Lose Yourself' and 'Toy Soldiers'.. that i dont mind listening too...
In fact im not going to lie, i loved "Lose Yourself" when it came out... and still do, its a motivating song...
> Who's not openminded? I listened to each one of the acts you list here, and came to the conclusion they simply weren't for me.

Well, you're one in a million then. Most people would accept them only because they're trendy (depending on the year), or reject them because they're too young, or too gay, or too marketted, or don't write their material or whatever. Although Avril does compose... my point is that very few actually give informed opinions.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger didn't compose 'Innuendo.' 'Bohemian Rhapsody' hasn't got 180 vocal overdubs.
I don't really like singers/bands who don't write their music. Puts me off, because it didn't come from them, wasn't from the heart bascially. That's another reason why I like Queen, because they all wrote their own music. Each one of them played a part in that sense. That shows to me what great songwriters the four of them are.
You have a point, it's_a_hard_life.

Lol! Good one! What if Freddie were still alive and he'd try to rap? I just thought that one would be funny, but I still can't picture Roger, Brian, John, or Paul Rodgers rapping, nor Freddie.

For some reason, I cant think of a rap for Fred...if he was still here, he'd probably come out on stage, like what in the hell are you guys doing...and for bloody sakes John, pull up your pants??? LOL

True, I dont either...

But most rappers do write their own lyrics, they just...well, they sound like they want to rape you instead of make love to you...lol...I have a bittersweet love for hip-hop,(I like Common, Kanye West, the roots, etc.) but I wouldnt call it all love, because of the killing element to it, the last thing I want to listen to when I put a CD in my CD player is killing, raping, doing up the hoes, etc...thats why I like Queen cause their music is so lighthearted...not too heavy, but not too soft...just right...lol

[QUOTE][QUOTENAME]<B>Jellybean Queen <h6>sweet body kisses wrote: [/QUOTENAME]I was at Brianmay.com recently, and I came across his soapbox...(which I always read by the way) and I guess during his concert in detroit, he was say how eminem doesnt get enough respect in his home town....and this and that...well, it really surprised me, because, well...it just doesnt seem like he would be an eminem, let alone, a rap fan for matter...lol

Another question: Didnt eminem sample a Queen song, and thats why they used his music in their recent tour?[/QUOTE]
I was actually personally at the concert in Auburn Hills (thats near Detroit, aka where the 'Detroit' concert was) and they did also dedicate a song to Eminem which rather disturbed me... Are you sure that the wasn't a fan letter? I swear I saw a *fan* letter on the soapbox saying Eminem didn't get respect in Michigan so much... And I can't really call him saying really anything about Eminem besides dedicating that one song.
