Shit! That was like right in your face that is. Lol kinda freaked me out at first because I didn't know what it was in the first place.
there are some emo guys who are just sexy!!!But then there are some who look ridiculous.Im not into their music but MCR are ok!!!Wouldnt class them as emo though
Emo is a bad word! :P

Anyway, yes, I don't like it when people my age label themselves as something that they really aren't. I know someone who is like into PETA and saving the earth, so she calls herself a hippie, which she clearly is not. She just wants attention.
I'm so pissed I could spit.
People who label themselves cleary want to be what they have declared themselves as because they are not. If you are truly who you are, then you don't have to tell everyone what you are because you are simply that, and it should be reflecting.

People can call themselves what they want, but they're really only making themselves out to be fools.

However, I personally think the worse thing is being labeled by other people. Some people will actually call you "goth" if you wear some black and some eyeliner, or a "hippy" if you have long messy hair. It's not that being labeled hurts, but once again, it makes the labeler look foolish.

Well, I know I used to be an introvert.
I'm learning to be an extrovert, and my
weirdness is showing more with people I don't know.
But with my close friends, they know that I'm
weird, loud, crazy, and funny.
So if I classify myself as weird, would
that be concidered labeling?

I don't think so. I mean I'm just putting down my opinion, but saying you're weird or shy or anything along those lines I don't really think is a label, or at least a label in the sense I meant it. I think that is more of a personality thing whereas a label is sort of your supposed behavior and lifestyle and habbits or something like that. I dunno. If it is a labeling, then I guess I'm a hypocrite. And I tend to not like hyporcites so then that makes me a double hypocrite. And that would suck. :-P

I wouldn't call myself emo... mostly because I have very little idea what "emo" is...

I got called a hippie yesterday...

Great. I'm going to - as I have been told by this person - "go grow grass" and stare at my pictures of "long-haired hippie-guys" (guess who). I will also continue to now know who Adrian Brody is and continue to be amazed that this girl thinks Johnny Depp is "ew". And I'll continue to not give a funny flip if people have "gone gay" or not...

That is what makes one a hippie, I've been told.
