announcement: our much loved VAL will soon leave the fanclub :-(

Sorry to hear about Val she's lovely and always happy to chat, something I found Jackie didn't always want to.

I can see that you are very passionate about this, however you seem to be under the impression that the fan club was there in order to support the band, well it's not, it 's there to give fans somewhere to go to get information about there favorite band, unfortunately in this case the Queen fan club ceased to be the best place to go.

That my friend is the real tragedy here, if they had kept place with the times things might be different.

Another suggestion for the fanclub would be to have cheaper prices for under 18s. I want to join the fanclub but my parents think spending so much money every month is a waste.. I rely on my parents to give me money, I don't work because my dad rather I focus on my exams..so i'm stuck!
I know quite a few other under 18s that have the same opinion, we can't afford to pay around £20 per month (i can't remeber how much it was but i think it's around that price)!

If you think it's a stupid suggestion say so but i think it seems fair. I don't know if the FC is having money problems but at least if they put under 18s half price at least, it would be better to get some money from us then none at all because we can't afford it!

I'm one of them, I think they don't come cheap and not many people are prepared to pay that much. I hope something or someone has the power to keep it open for another decade if possable!

I think the money item is bullshit, cos you can afford other things as well, so it is a matter of priorities. And in that I can understand that other priorities are more important then paying for (maybe) being able to go to a queenconvention and further not a shit on benefits for the fans. Yea, a record from some coverbands -yawn-, if that is all that can be thought of....

I am with brian and roger and say with them.. great, a fanclub, and then I return, like them, to my own business
