I have been listening to these two paticular songs alot recently, and I was wondering out of the two of them which one do you prefer? Leaving Home Ant Easy or Sail Away Sweet Sister? Both Brian May songs, very smooth and beautiful. Personally they are both great and I don't know how I can make myself choose between the two, let alone make you Queenzoner's choose....LOL.
For me I cannot give a answer just yet, maybe in time I will find out which one I love more, but for now I will turn the question to you guys.
Also I feel like making a poll out of it for fun, so all your votes does count. :-)

sorry for double posting, but gotta say my favourite line out of both songs is in LHAE, when Brian was like "Oh how could I think of leaving!" Damn, ive changed my mind.
LOL, forthevid have you choosed which one yet or will that be both songs that get your vote? That is allowed, voting for both.
Sorry, I accidentally logged in under forthevid for a mo, but this is my real thing, and after having listened to both just now, I think Im leaning towards Sail Away Sweet Sister
DEFFINITLY Sail Away Sweet Sister! LOVE IT.
LHAE, but honestly i prefer some day one day, a fantastic song, his guitar work is simply amazin, beyond that time, personally i love that lyrics and also love LHAE as well, a shame that Brian didn't make an album back in the 70's
Sail away sweet sister, great song.
Sail Away Sweet Sister....best part?? The middle 8 where Freddie sings....hint, hint.
Brian's voice worked perfect for Leaving Home....if Freddie would have sang "sweet sister" it would have been, at minimum, a minor hit.

I think one of the weakest songs Mays ever written and sang on was Leaving Home now Sail Away Sweet Sister that should have been on the greatest hits along with 39.Two very underrated songs.
Love both very much. Sail Away has a great bassline. Brian's voice on Leaving Home is great, nice tune.
I was getting ready to explode, because I was SURE this was going to be one of those "So, who sings these songs anyway?" threads.
Anyhow, I can't choose a favorite from the two.

I love Sail Away Sweet Sister for John's part at the end. It's a great song but John's work at the end makes the song sound eerie. I love Leaving Home Ain't Easy for the sound Brian got on his acoustic. That's one of the hardest instruments to record and get a good full, warm sound.
Yeah - Sail Away.. for me, but I do like leaving home aint easy.
Its funny you should pair them like that, Ive always thought of them together for some reason - I suppose theyre typical of Brian's softer songwriting edge at the time!
