I really prefer Sail Away Sweet Sister, it's a beautiful song and still manages to rock, I love the short guitar solo in the middle. Brain really went through an awesome songswriting stage in the NOTW/Jazz/Game days didn't he?

...those are all awesome songs.
"So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye? So you think you can love me and leave me to die?" -Bohemian Rhapsody
After I read this, I felt like listening to Brian.. :P
-Things Have Changed For Me-
They're both incredible songs but I think Sail Away Sweet Sister is the best song Brian ever wrote.

Leaving Home is dear to me as I left my home at a young age of 16, so faced with reality of life all alone this songs hits the spot. Also I only have one sister, and being far away from her was/is difficult at times so Sail Away... is complementary, shall we say.
Sail Away Sweet Sister.

I like it more than the inferior Leaving Home song which I would descrbie to be:

A.) Far Worse
B.) One of the worst Queen songs
and of course...
C.) A brilliant classic.

It's a bad Queen song which makes it overall only a bad ass, awesome, classic masterpiece.

What am I saying? Queen's shittiest material is weak for them, and far beyond 99% of the total music of the world.

To further illustrate my opinion, the best songs I have heard in the new millenium are primarily My favorites from Rufus Wainright, and the thrown away album cuts from Queen and solo Queen studio sessions. On a 1 to 10, 8 is a poor grade for Queen. 7 or lower is material I like in a mild way. Queen's worst song ever exceeds this rating/category.

Maybe I am obsessed and biased. If I am, I don't see it. What I see is a band called Queen whose average song is topped by maybe as many as 10 other songs in history not made by Queen.

I am 32 and writing thread after thread, and response after response. Is this strange or immature? All I know is that the chances of me ever hearing or discovering a band from the past, present, or future that charges me like Queen, is a very low probability. My 2nd favorite band ever is probably The Beatles which have The White Album, a brilliant piece of work that actually rates for me ahead of Queen's 2 worst albums, but not by much.

I will never, ever in my entire life understand why Queen isn't considered an entity far more appreciated and held higher than any other form of entertainment or human culture. Beethoven, Edison, Einstein, Motzart, Spielberg, The Beatles, Elvis and Star Wars couldn't combine their total popularity and come near matching the Queen legacy in my opinion. I don't care how goofy that sounds... Queen is for me mankind's greatest contribution of art to the universe.
I would pick both....

Though I can see why everyone gos for Sail Away Sweet Sister...Leaving Home Ant Easy is a classic. Both get my vote.

I agree. Most beautiful song I've ever heard!
