He's just introverted. Unlike Freddie who would say "fuck off" and people whould have to leave, John does not say that, he simply "fucks off" himself and disappears into the dark. He likes his peace and quiet.

He also said " It's always a rainy day without you..." , that is why we want him back. But I hope he is happy doing what he loves to do. He has no obligations to us. There are no rules. Everybody is free.

Firstly, Queen was 4 vital parts..take one away something's missing ..take two away its a joke!
Both Brian and Roger couldn't wait to get going on their own..Brian may band and the cross ..this when Freddie was still here..they had already moved on.
Only when these ventures FAILED did they get together and call them selves Queen ...which they are not...Queen was the 4 of them but Freddie was the STAR that made everything brighter and brought the best out of each of them.
IMO John acknowledges this and realises that without Freddie anything that they do ,together or apart will be less than what they had...so why bother.
In the year after Freddie's passing John had 2 more children and clearly decided to enjoy the other half of his life...his wife and family...6 kids..wow!!
John is a magnificent bassist ,he doesnt need fan worship,he's respected by his peers and was acknowleged by Freddie as ' the best'....enough praise for anyone I should think.
Add to this his writing achievements, plus his electronics wizardry...just read up on the deacy amp to understand what a genius he is!
At 60 he's a very wealthy man with a loving wife , 6 kids and a few grand kids .
Some of his boys are musicians , very talented check them out!

The Cross had seen great success in mainland Europe touring and with Blue Rock so EMI simply didn't want there to be a distraction for Roger which might have taken his eye away from Queen.

I am curious where you found that information about EMI pulling the budget? sounds possible but never have I seen anything to back that up.

Don't know why John only communicates with Roger and Brian through e mails that is very odd. Also why wouldn't he show up for awards they receive, he was an essential part of the group. The other two never have a bad word to say about him, but I believe there's more to it that none of them are revealing, which I give them all credit for being so private especially when having kept quiet about Freddie's illness all throughout.
