And why can't evolution and religion go togher. Maybe a god made that whole evolution. People shouldn't take the Old Testament so seriously. It's book compiled with stories which were spread mouth-to-mouth for over 5000 years. Ofcourse lot of stories in it have a truth somewhere deep within. But all have logical explainations (like floods and eruptions) but that was more than 2000 years ago, hardly any knowledge, hardly any technology.
I'm sure in 3000 years people will raise eyebrows at some of the things we think at this moment.
Amen to that! Tell that to my religion teacher though.... haha i love freakin him out by asking him how do we know that maybe Jesus and Mary Magdalene werent married... I mean the rest of the disciples had wives and families, but they arent discussed in the Bible, so how do we know???

Well, gravity isn't proven to be true.
It's a theory. I don't mean it doesn't exsist
but scientists are still learning more about it.
Well, at least that's what I was taught in
physics.

I tend to believe evolution to an extent.
I do not believe we evolved from apes though.
I do belive that animals change through-out
the years to have the ability to adapt to
the environment.

Jesus tells the people of the world that the old testament is wrong. and just like that 1000s of years of history is gone. forward still 100s of years, to the time of Charles Darwin, he tells the world about evolution, and is hated by the catholic church. why is he hated? the catholics still belive in the old testament which says that god created the humans.so, in short, Evolution is no real theat to religion.
The Old Testament was never 'over'. But thats another story....
The bible says that God created the heavens and the earth in 7 days. All living things, trees, oceans lakes animals bugs you name it...even humans. He created Adam and Eve in his own image. So the story goes. I believe in the bile, but I think the 7 days could have been thousands of years. If you think about it, it makes perfect sence. Possibly millions of years.
It's a cool subject to thinnk about.

exactly, our concept of time is a man made thing, well with a clock anyways...
But its a series of moments, like what i consider NOW (where im typing a response)... in a few hours when im eating dinner, that will be NOW...
So our time and Gods time are totally different... In fact time for everyone is slightly different...
It is really mind boggling to try and wrap your mind around...
